North America gets one measly game today - Super Turrican (SNES, Factor 5). However, a ton of ratings have flooded in - Do Re Mi Fantasy (SNES, import, Hudson), Mercs (Gen, Sega/Capcom), and Super Pitfall (NES, Activision). I'll update the main list later.

Y'know, I'm a little surprised at some of the games that haven't yet appeared on the VC.
We don't have the original Contra yet, despite having both Contra III and Super C. (And what about Hard Corps, for that matter?)
We've long since gotten the first three Bonk games for the TG16, so where's Super Bonk from the SNES?
And as far as the TG16 goes, where's Keith Courage in Alpha Zones? It was the original pack-in for the system after all.

From what I can see, Kirby 64 (N64, HAL) will be the lone VC download today for PAL users.
Australia also provides our first Master System rating for Wonder Boy (WestOne).

I'm also wondering where is Super Punch-Out!!, Zoda's Revenge: StarTropics II, Pulseman (even though it was Japan-only, it was available on the Sega Channel in the U.S.), Greendog The Beached Surfer Dude!, Rolling Thunder 1 for the NES, Contra Force, Vectorman 2, MOTHER 1 / NES EarthBound (even though it was Japan-only, Sin and Punishment was translated before Nintendo cancelled its North American release, then later became available for the VC), MOTHER 2 / SNES EarthBound, the SNES Star Fox and Stunt Race FX? Also, why not add some light gun games like Lethal Enforcers, the NES Zapper ones and the Super Scope ones? And what about the 32X and Sega CD/Mega CD ones? Nintendo should also add their old arcade games (including some released only in Japan like Sheriff, Sky Skipper and Computer Othello).

I agree with the 32X and Sega CD ideas. As well as the old arcade games.

Perhaps I'll try to compile a list of games that we could reasonably expect to see on the VC at some point.
Sega CD and 32X games would, of course, require extra work in the emulation department, as would any games that require the Super FX chip (Star Fox, Stunt Race FX, Yoshi's Island). I'll be interested to see how they handle Zapper/Super Scope games.

I have a list of hopeful VC games I'd love to see pop up...but I like your idea there, Nester. Could be interesting. ^_^

Sega revealed that Puyo Puyo 2 (Gen) and POWERBALL (Gen) would be arriving on the VC this month (at least in North America, anyway).

Puyo Pop 2 is an import, right? I like the idea for Nintendo to release old arcade games on the VC, but if they did it, I'd like it better if they released them in packs of games like a Namco Treasures game. I'm surprised they haven't done that yet.

I would kill for GameBoy emulation at some point. There's a lot of cool potential there, basically giving us a downloadable GB Player or something.
Also: Sega CD, 32X, and Saturn. I know they're hard to emulate, but still...
And if the PSN and XBLA can get games not from their consoles (XBLA gets Symphony of the Night, for example) and just not name the console, I would imagine Nintendo could do the same. I would kill for some Castlevania or Klonoa love. I have a nice growing list of future hopefuls that includes titles from the Playstation library, not gonna lie. Arcade games should be added to the service as well, but now I sound like a really hardcore fanboy :/

^ If the Wii does get games like Symphony of the Night (which I doubt would fit on the internal memory), they would more likely be ports instead of emulations. If that were the case, maybe they would qualify as WiiWare instead VC games.

Something cool I just found out. You can play PSone games on the PSP.And at $6 a game...well, let's just say the $10 price tag on the VC's N64 games is a little steep. Sorry that this isn't Nintendo news, and it's been out for awhile, but I thought I should bring it to your attention. Nintendo should definitely learn from Sony...

Today is an import day for NA, as Puyo Puyo 2 (Gen, Sega/Compile) and DoReMi Fantasy: Milon's DokiDoki Adventure (SNES, Hudson) arrive today. Also, Wonder Boy (SMS, WestOne) has been rated for Europe.
Looks like you were right about Puyo Puyo 2, Qu. ^_^
Bit surprised Smash Bros. wasn't on the list...
