I made the banner. ;D This thread is talking about the upcoming Animal Crossing Wii. NEWS: Here is the box-art: In Australia and most likely Europe, the name has been changed to 'Lets Go to the City!', it's so long! Source: Bus Bus stop City Bus stop Decor Fish/bugs Photo Friends Keyboard Auction House Auction House functions Gracie Store ATM/Ticket booth(not sure which it is) and Movie theather Map My Ideas: I thought that this would be awesome. You use your actual mii as your animal crosser, or you could just use the per designed animal crossers. But what do you think? You could do anything to your mii, change clothes and all that stuff. I think it would be pretty cool. Mainly is you made a Mario looking Mii and bought a Mario outfit. Animal Crossing + Mario. XD I also thought there should be some type of big shopping centre owned by a frog. It would sell food or something other then Nook. But you would still have nook. But I also thogugh maybe of getting jobs in the game. Ohter then just being Nook's helper. And I like the bird's eye view. But I thought maybe they could make it a 3d look like Mario Galaxy. What do you think?

Being able to use one of your Miis seems like the obvious choice, and the style of the other characters should be cleaned up and cartoonified a little - the latter-day N64 graphics no longer do it for me.
You should be able to do more with your village itself. Imagine the level of ownership you have over your house, but it's the entire village you're proud of. Maybe you could get materials to set up a playground, a marketplace, or something else along those lines.
More variation would be nice as well. More ways to make money - maybe you could actually get a job! Make money for pulling weeds or smashing cockroaches. Make them into minigames even.

One thing I'd really like to see is a cooking minigame added. The animals in the game always seem to be talking about food and cooking. Anyway, it'd be good to have something to do with fruit besides plant and sell it.
Here's how I see it happening. First, you have to get a piece of cooking furniture. Depending on the theme, it might be an oven, a pot over a fire, a microwave, ect. When you use it, you can look at your recipe book, which has everything you've made before, or make something new. To cook, you just choose one or two ingredients. You can eat the food yourself or give it to the villagers as a gift.

Will you be able to cook meat dishes and feed them to the animals? Because that just seems... like a great idea! ;D

Of the ideas mentioned, I like the jobs, upgrading the town and the birds eye view.
I would like a lot of the ideas they talked about when the Wii was shown at E3 06. Sending messages via online, visiting a town when their Wii is off, and using the weather channel. Beyond that, I'd like to see more done with the NPCs. Wild World gave them a little more but I'm hoping the Wii expands and gives them even more personality.

Previously in Animal Crossing, the villages have been a bit bland. There needs to be more to do in your village! Different buildings popping up like libraries and arcades and carpenters, and all of them with things to do in them!
For example, I think I may have mentioned this idea in a previous thread, but an interactive carpenters would be great: get a lump of wood, use the wiimote to draw what shape you want to carve it into, finish it off by using wiimote gestures to sand it and paint it! And THEN, pay the carpenter to make dozens of replicas to sell to your online friends!

And THEN, pay the carpenter to make dozens of replicas to sell to your online friends! An arcade would be awesome! Instead of having to get the consoles like on the GCN. And if you win you get tickets and then trade it in for an awesome prize. Sounds a bit like Paper Mario. Maybe you could use the Wii remote to grind, sizzle, stir and other things instead of just pressing a button. Smashing Cockroaches sounds awesome for money! And you would have to use the Wii remote and slam it downwards as you see a hand crush the cockroach. I will make a banner for this thread for some reason latter since we are using this thread. ;D EDIT: I made the banner and fixed the first post. ;D What do you think. I made it. Pretty simple. Anyway as in the first post I found this: Animal Crossing Wii will obviously feature online gift exchanging and letter sending (from Wii to Wii and from email to Wii). But its biggest addition will be that after exchanging friend codes, you’ll be able to play with one or more friends online simultaneous! This creates a real-time, online community in larger towns that allow you to chat, work on building the town, and play motion controlled mini-games together. All signs point to these hints coming true and the game should get fully unveiled by Nintendo at the E3 Summit 2008 on July 15-17th. A lot more here, source: www.videogamesblogger.com/2008/05....now-so-far. htm E3 Summit: www.e3summit08.com/login/login.aspx?redirect=%2findex.aspxAnd I found this guy from gamespot's Ideas. They are pretty cool. -More tools, ex: Lawnmowers that quickly remove weeds but take out flowers as well. Binoculars for sighting birds, which would be recorded in a similar method as fish/bugs Rowboat to deeper waters and fish for new/rarer species of fish Special lures/bait attract different fish/bugs Bikes/ Pogostick/ etc... just for fun. Cellphone to call special visitors you've met for hints on when they come next Snorkel to find rarer shells & view fish. Maybe make use of the dual DS touch screen to rub away sand and find... ... shells -Bells = 1 unit of currency, Whistles = 1000? -Real Garden to grow vegetables in a similar fashion as fruit. Have Nook till an optional section of land near the house, etc. -Use the musical instrument furniture to play K.K. songs in a similar fashion as Guitar Hero or DDR. -Customizable House upgrades. Nook lets you choose which extensions and expansions you want (think 2D Lego blocks) -Seasonal Areas, ex: In winter, a mountain pass opens up to allow you to visit a ski lodge & play ski/snowboard minigames In summer, you can take your row boat out to a tropical island where you meet a pirate who gives you a... ... treasure map that leads you around the island (turns out he is sitting on the treasure) Source: au.gamespot.com/ds/rpg/animalcrossingds/show_msgs.php?topic_id=m-1-43288520&pid=920786EDIT 2: Just looking at this thread, maybe I went a bit overboard.

I finally stumbeled on an AC Wii thread! Thank goodness this was bumped or I would have never noticed it! Will you be able to cook meat dishes and feed them to the animals? Because that just seems... like a great idea! ;D There was that chowder in AC (GC) that you could get from the igloo's but they never said what was in it . . . But that does sort of remind me of this comic. My ideas. - One of the ideas I had was if they aren't going to give us NES games there should be Game Boy (not Color) games to play or even use Game & Watch games, they would not be as good but I don't think those would ever go up on a downloadable service like the VC and Nintendo would not have to fear losing money over it. Or just make new original (simple) games for it. - Increase the size of the lake in the game and allow the lake in the winter time to freeze over so there can be ice skating and other ice sports (hockey and curling!). - Allow us to throw parties with friends (there would be no alochol as it might turn out like that episode of South Park where they had to get the pig and the elephant drunk). - Machima/film making, it would be a good way for the franchise to get more attention instead of just being a simple "communication game." - Write messages on our roofs. - Lots and lots of Nintendo cameos. - I'm mentioned this one before, have poker night with Tom Nook and the ability to take it online. - Allow us to make the animal villiages say really like quotes like "To Barral Roll, Press Z or R twice!" and other wonderfully like quotes and have them spread in that viral way online like with some content in AC WW. - Have AC know what other games you have and have unlockable content based upon that, like a statue of a Luma from SMG or a model of a tank from Battalion Wars II. - Allow us to set the game to Southern Hemisphere seasons because AC (GC) did not do that and was always bound to Northern Hemisphere seasons because playing the game down here isn't the same as the Northern Hemisphere. (Unless this was this implemented into AC WW? Can someone tell me, please?)

Increse Lake......I like this idea better: I just think it would be a better idea going into a mountain zone. You know how in all AC games there is a mountain range and the very back of the town, well that should open. But the lake could freeze and it could be a mini game. Your idea is still cool. They might put a grandstand around it. And I like the island in summer idea too from the gamespot guy about the pirate and all that. I have all these ideas about the town that I will post latter. It will be so much infomation. ;D

Just needed to make a new post for this. All my ideas. It may be a lot. I had my own ideas about buildings in the town. Shack: There was a shack at the beach with Pascal (I think that is his name, the red bear/mole thing) living there. He would sell shells, buy shells and even sell small valuable items. Redd's Shop: It should always be in the town. And when you go to the door it will just say he is out. So he lives in your town. Mall: This is the biggest of them all, the mall. It is 3 stories high. But It might upgrade stories in the game. 1st floor You walk in and there are doors along a corridor. There are townsfolk in there all the time, looking at windows or sitting at a table or watching fountains. There are the tailors first. It is a bit bigger than the other games. Across from there is the restaurant/cafe. There will be people there sitting at the tables drinking or eating. You can get a job working there and you will cook. Then you go up the escalator to the next floor. 2nd floor There will be a woodwork place. You can request for furniture or ask them to build something in the town for you. eg: wooden chairs. Small fountains, ect. There is a bull with hammers working there as well as others. Across from there is a functions room. It is empty. You can hire it. There is markets, small shows, ect that happens in there. 3rd floor The 3rd story is only for staff. So there is no escalator. Only a small door that has a weird stairway. Not fancy. 3rd floor has a new character. A security guard octopus that is watching all these screens that shows each room. Looks pretty high-tech. There also is a door at the end of the small high tech room. It is a nice wooden golden door. It has the leader of the mall, the frog. I don’t know what to call him yet. He is wearing a nice suit. That is where you ask for the functions room. Nooks Shop: Cranny, Nook ‘n’ go, Nookway, or Nookingtons, Nook would never work in the mall. He is an enemy with the frog not to mention Redd also. But Nook can upgrade a lot more in this game. Hotel: Yes a hotel. You would have guests all the time, so that means new townsfolk. They won’t always stay long. But sometimes they will. You can visit them or stay there. But there isn’t much of a point since you live not far. But maybe once to try it out. The Roost: Not in the museum anymore, and is much better, not so dull, K’K still goes there. The Stage: You know in brawl how K.K comes, the stage he stands on. Well there should be a bigger one and you see different bands perform. And there should be a conductor that looks like K.K but very posh. Train Station: Yes it returns with Porter and something new, an actual walk in station with a reception desk and all. You can see friend codes and all that there. Town Hall: The town hall returns but is bigger. You can visit the mare. Buy stickers for decoration things. As well as stamps. Library: This comes later in the game. It is an extra of Animal Crossing Wii. You can read and borrow books about Animal Crossing History, the characters, and more. They even have magazines that you can buy about new furniture and clothes if you connect to the Internet. There is even a room where they make newspapers. You get one every week or so. The owner of the library is a female goat with a glass over here eye. And if you do something wrong that makes sound, she comes over and screams, “BE QUIET!” Arcade: No more collecting NES games, because the Arcade is here. This is another extra that comes later in the game. The owner is a pig wearing a ‘I love Nintendo’ shirt. You can play some NES games but mostly custom Animal Crossing Games in NES style. You win tickets and at the end you go to the pig and trade for a small present. There is even a small plush Mario toy that you can put on your bed. What do you think?

Some very good ideas that would definitely go some way towards improving the feel that this is a "living" town. Of course, in order to justify all that stuff, the town would have to be bigger and better populated. Which would, of course, mean another 3 years to translate the PAL version

Plus, like with what Fry said, let's see these guys on the lake, in Nook's store or in the Roost. It's not much but add quite a bit to the game. Also, I like a lot of your ideas Snuka7.
