There are always some game tunes that get stuck in your head. So here is a thread where you can share your favorite song from whatever Nintendo game you've played. Tunes based on franchises is much preferred, but if you like more than one, what the heck, you're welcome to share it. It'll be easier to recall the song you're talking about if you specify the actual game from where the song is from.
Here's my list of best songs.
Mario: Super Mario RPG (SNES), when you fight Smithy.
Zelda: Windwaker, the song on Dragon Roost Island.
Donkey Kong: Donkey Kong Country, when you fight King K Rool.
Metroid: The Metroid Prime 2 echoes theme song. Sounds "alien-ish". Creepy, yet cool.
F-Zero: Definately Mute City- SSBM version of course.
Earthbound: SNES version, the song that plays when you're at home.
Kid Icarus: NES version, The opening theme song.
Banjo-Kazooie: Rusty Bucket Bay, and Glitter Gulch Mine.

There are indeed. Aside from the obvious "main Nintendo tunes" (Mario themes, Zelda themes, etc.) I find myself whistling the Mach Rider, Clu Clu Land, Balloon Fight and Ice Climber music quite often.

Balloon Fighter's is awesome, I love randomly getting that in SSBM (and its usually set as my background music while looking at trophies).
Aside from that and the main franchise songs, the DK Rap was great.

I also find myself whistling the Balloon Kid variation of Balloon Fight's theme.
Strange that a 21 year old game with 8-bit blips still reigns as one of the greatest videogame tunes of all time.
A couple I forgot to mention: the level music from Gyromite (awesome) and the first stage music from Gumshoe (also awesome).
Gah! Now I have the Gyromite music stuck in my head ;D
