Kuuuuuu kukukukuku.
Thanks to Nintendo Wii Fanboys' feature, Brawl Stage of the Week, I've discovered a quick, easy way for us to trade custom stages without having to worry about friend codes. All it takes is an SD Card and an SD Card Reader, something at least a few of you have, and you're ready to beat the system and, ensuingly, beat the snot out of your opponents in some nifty stages. We can also make use of this topic by posting suggestions for improvement, feedback, criticisms, etc. Brawl gave us the Stage Creator as an art kit. ;D
To import downloaded stages, follow these instructions provided by Wii Fanboys:
1. Download the file
2. Save it to an SD card in the following location:
* US versions of Brawl: \private\wii\app\RSBE\st\st_080515_0233.bin
* Japanese versions of Brawl: \private\wii\app\RSBJ\st\st_080515_0233.bin
3. Put the SD card with the file on it in your Wii and start up Brawl
4. During the stage selection, click "Melee Stages" in the bottom-right corner
5. Then click "Custom Stages" in the bottom-right corner and choose the custom stage you want to play on
So, I'mma start off by uploading a few of my stages for the time being; first up is the completely original stage I made just by mucking about with the pieces I was given, something I've affectionately entitled BÖRK BÖRK BÖRK!. It's a big, sprawling, mazey kinda stage, very difficult to score a KO on - but that just makes it so much more gratifying once you do. Some screenshots, to captivate the madness:
The only point to making BÖRK BÖRK BÖRK! was to test how much I could fit into the Stage Builder and still have a playable level; this was the result, and I'm really proud of it. Something about the layout really speaks to me.

Next up is an attempt at remaking an old stage - in this case, the level Venom from Super Smash Bros. Melee. It's not perfect - due to the square nature of the grid you lay custom pieces onto, I can't quite get the dorsal fin as narrow as it ought to be. But otherwise I think it turned out okay.

Following on the coattails of that is a remake of the original Super Smash Bros.' Saffron City level - my favorite of the levels presented by that game, unfortunately skipped over in Melee and Brawl. For all N64 stages, I add a small touch of my own to kind of spice up the stew; in this case, since I can't have a "random Pokémon door generator," I operated for an additional moving platform, a ferris wheel, and some decorations on the roofs of "Silph Co." and the rightmost building.

The next stage I'm going to show you tonight is a recreation yet again - but not of any past SSB level, oh no. This comes from another vidja game entirely. Here's the screenshots of the stage...can you tell where it comes from?
No? Still stumped? Well, here's a hint ;D
Yes! This little area of Super Mario World has been remade in a Brawlish type image!

The last level is another old video game with a stage reimagined to fit into Brawl. This one I've entitled KDL Dedede Ring; as the name suggests, it's supposed to be the arena in which Kirby faces King Dedede in the first Kirby's Dreamland game, sitting high atop Mt. Dedede. This is the second incarnation of this level, after having put it under a major overhaul in order to make it more fun to play on.
I know there are a few discrepancies between the original and what I made, but it's difficult for Mario - the balanced character in Brawl - to clear the pillars on either side of the "ring," so I don't want to jack those up too high for the sake of having three "ring ropes" of platforms and thus making the posts too difficult to jump over. I also can't extend the range of the diagonal platforms comprising Mt. Dedede too far out beyond the ringposts, but I think what I have there is sufficient enough.

So...go ahead, pilgrim.Make my day. Share your stages. ;D
