Okay, I know what you guys are thinking. "GAY!" But, look at this video...
Still, the Wii should've been like this from the beginning, but there are greater possibilities to look forward to...

Hahaha "Whack!"
I really hope more companies take this up. I want to see Project HAMMER revived with 1-to-1 big-bastard-hammer tracking!
It won't happen... but ah well.

This video was something I was gonna post earlier, but kudos to Teev for hitting it first. I'm amazed this isn't something forced down developer's throats. If it is already, I revoke that statement, but I really want to see this being used to its fullest extent because it could really help push some great products on the Wii.
Now if only Nintendo could up the graphical and memory potential we would have the killer console we all want. Oh, and add better online stuff, but that can come later >;p The only reason developers are just doing shovelware is because they know the Wii can't pull off the same visually stunning and absolutely massive games the other two consoles can. Rather than put in effort, they will sit easy just putting crap on Wii. This Motion Plus is only one of the two steps Nintendo needs to take. Desperately take, I might add.

Sorry to be argumentative today, but I must disagree. Firstly, the Wii doesn't have to do anything. They could stop making games and it would still do well. Additionally, Nintendo doesn't need third parties. Most people see third parties as important, but they weren't considered important till the PS1 where Sony actually used them for their plan. Nintendo never did, and it's one of the reason why it's doing well now, and was able to survive during the N64/NGC era. Sony will have problems as they are solely dependent on third parties and run a bigger risk then Nintendo was in their situation. Third parties are only important for the gamers, but the system would do fine without them.

I'm sure I'm not alone, and I know this for a fact, when I say that the Wii could be improved significantly to appeal to the core Nintendo audience.

Yes in that I agree to keep the fanbase happy they should, but no in the fact they Nintendo fans are pretty loyal. If they kept making their regular Nintendo games (Mario, Zelda, Pikmin, Starfox) then the core will be happy. Now, you are right the Wii can be improved for the core. It's partly third parties. Nintendo themselves haven't done thing much differently besides making more games. They are right on track of where they should be (looking at only EDA).

I think it would be good for a new Red Steel game, but beyond that...

I finally watched the video. I'd love to see the next Zelda use Wiimotion Plus. Playing though Twilight Princess again, I'd love to see more Wiimote actions. I always did a slicing move while doing the back slice.
There are probably other ideas, but we'll see with what people come up with. I do see an idea I had when the Wii was fist announce be possible now.
