The first trailer for Deep Silver's survival-horror game, Cursed Mountain, was shown at the Lepzeig Games Convention. The trailer starts about a minute into the video, so be patient. It alleges to contain "in-game" footage, but the trailer is not direct feed, so it's a little hard to evaluate the quality of the graphics. Yet, it seems to look pretty good for a Wii game.

Is it weird that the Wii is getting so many survival horror games all of a sudden?
I'm not all that big into survival horror. It'd be like if the Wii suddenly received a million RPGs. I'm not fussed. Where's my action-adventure games!

Well, survival horror did pretty well on the GameCube with Eternal Darkness and every main installment in the Resident Evil series. Plus, RE4 sold better on the Wii than the GC, so maybe it shouldn't seem so weird. Unless even we, as insightful, educated Nintendo fans, are also sold on the perception of the Wii as only a "kid friendly" console. |

I'm afraid I am sold on that. It seems you either have kids games, or survival horror games. There's very little in the middle.

Looks interesting...pretty decent, too (gasp!). I'm not sold on crappy "kiddy" PR! Bring me some survival horror (if it's good)!

IGN has posted the trailer for Cursed Mountain. It looks like the same one from Lepzeig, but it's direct feed, so you can see the graphics clearly as well as hear the narration. It looks pretty good, and it sounds like it has a clever setup. Now it's all about execution. |

New trailer, and the graphics actually look pretty good! At least RE4 quality. (I wish I didn't have to compare the graphics of Wii games to a GameCube game released almost four years ago.)
