Other Trophies (Melee): Sheriff is called a Japan only game. But there are European arcade flyers, so it was also released in Europe. I don't know what the PAL version tells. The Heririn is actually called Helirin in English. I think it is corrected in PAL version. Is Bubbles female? Mario Trophies (Melee): In the European version, Yoshi's debut is erroneously named Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island. Raphael Raven's full name is actually "Raphael the Raven", as mentioned in the text. A castle of the Mushroom Kingdom was already seen in Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars. But it wasn't explicitly mentioned that it belongs to the princess, so I don't know if that counts.

Thanks for those Grandy. Didn't know about Sheriff (those flyers must have been added recently). Not sure whether it's worth mentioning Helirin, as it's clearly SUPPOSED to be Helirin, but PAL Kurukuru Kururin and Melee opted for the direct romanization of the name. Maybe that will be worth mentioning. Bubbles has always been noted as female in US literature (including the original manual), while the original Japanese doesn't assign a gender. As for Super Mario RPG... I'm not including that. Basically, the castle as it appears debuted in Super Mario 64. The castle in SMRPG wasn't necessarily the same castle, or perhaps it was rebuilt... who knows. But this isn't an error (just like the Chancellor in SMRPG can't be said to be Toadsworth - although perhaps it would be in a future remake). On another note, I'm suddenly aware that I haven't finished formatting the Mario page, or finished adding in all the unlock/error notices for Brawl... so don't mention that and I'll get it fixed up as soon as I can

Didn't know about Sheriff (those flyers must have been added recently). It was even published by Exidy in the States under the name "Bandido". But isn't clearly known if it was offically licensed (KLOV tells it was, Wikipedia is unsure). KLOV: BandidoKLOV: SheriffFlyers for Bandido

Everything I've come across so far points towards a stolen game, rather than a licensed port. Play the game as well - all Nintendo credits have been ripped out. This happened a lot back then.

You prolly are aware but not every FS trophy that is a direct reference has a statement saying where it's from. Black Knight and Ashnard images are swapped. And no info stating Black Knight's sword is Alondite in English. Lyn's age is the same, though I believe it's corrected with the localized age of 18 in the PAL version. Mew's description is Lugia's, which isn't the case beyond site mistakes. Very nice besides that.

Are you going to note that some of the Melee All-Star mode trophies are clearly alternate costumes? IE, Jumpman, Daisy, Yellow Yoshi groundpounding. You could link to the Alt Costumes page when you get it done.
Plus, the Kirby All-Star trophy is seemingly a recreation of the American boxart for KDL1. I know you have your issues with American references in Japanese games, but check it out.
Also, Mario Finale may be Ultra Flame from SMRPG. I say this because an issue of Famitsu listed it as such. Unofficial source, true, but a slightly reliable one.
I'm not entirely sure, but I think Meowth's Party was aPokemon card before it was a demo or on TV. It came with a Japanese soundtrack around 98 or 99. I remember it being sold as early as early '99, at any rate.

Since Peach and Bowser got moves from SMRPG, I imagine it's possible. Especially since Ultra Flame targeted all foes.

I dunno if this construes as "what you need to know #1", but the Brawl trophy for Falco (Assault) says that he's frequently harassed by Panther. This is not true, as Falco's rival in Star Wolf is The Great Leon ;D

Thanks for the great comments and corrections. The Melee and SSB64 stuff should be 100% complete, but I've still got to read through everything else for accuracy. You prolly are aware but not every FS trophy that is a direct reference has a statement saying where it's from. No indeed, only Sonic's has it. I'm going to mention these on all the pages where relevant. You'll notice I've done Chef Kirby, and the others will be done in this vain. It seems I was a little too keen to put these up before adding in all the info in the Trophy Error thread Black Knight and Ashnard images are swapped. And no info stating Black Knight's sword is Alondite in English. Lyn's age is the same, though I believe it's corrected with the localized age of 18 in the PAL version.Yeah, I apparently didn't finish all my error additions from the other thread. Thanks for the Black Knight / Ashnard thing though. I'll get that fixed. Mew's description is Lugia's, which isn't the case beyond site mistakes.First point - fair enough. I think I spotted that, but I need someone to send me the original text from the US version of the game. Second part... what? Are you going to note that some of the Melee All-Star mode trophies are clearly alternate costumes? IE, Jumpman, Daisy, Yellow Yoshi groundpounding. You could link to the Alt Costumes page when you get it done.Hmm... I could do, but it seems a bit pointless bringing it up until the Alt. Costumes are done. Plus, the Kirby All-Star trophy is seemingly a recreation of the American boxart for KDL1. I know you have your issues with American references in Japanese games, but check it out.Err... yeah... seemingly so to people who haven't looked at the KDL boxart. Also, Mario Finale may be Ultra Flame from SMRPG. I say this because an issue of Famitsu listed it as such. Unofficial source, true, but a slightly reliable one.I wondered this. But that's a torrent of fireballs, while the Mario Finale is twin dragons of flame. Subtly different (but maybe worth mentioning). I'm not entirely sure, but I think Meowth's Party was aPokemon card before it was a demo or on TV. It came with a Japanese soundtrack around 98 or 99. I remember it being sold as early as early '99, at any rate.If it appeared as a card, it would have been in reference to the Gamecube demo, which was used in the anime. If it appeared on an album, it would have been related to the demo, used in the anime. If you think otherwise, I need more than your say-so. Proof plz! I dunno if this construes as "what you need to know #1", but the Brawl trophy for Falco (Assault) says that he's frequently harassed by Panther. This is not true, as Falco's rival in Star Wolf is The Great Leon ;DThat's true of SF64, but is it also true of Assault? I don't recall. Will have to check (I've been looking for an excuse to play that again). Keep the comments coming! I'm hoping this will be super-awesome when it's all finished. And just so you know, I am making good progress on NinDB's design as well.

I found the card: www.trsrockin.com/nyasucd.htmlIt also shows the album it came with. It is apperently based off of it. I can't find a date for it yet, but I do know it was around before the Gamecube was announced. EDIT: Here you go: bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Meowth%27s_PartyIt's from the anime, and was a Japanese only closing song. It debuted in 1999, and the single came out (With card) later that year.

SSBB is full of errors.
Yoshi's first game was SMW not YS. Toad wasn't Toad in SMB. Since when is Striker Daisy in SML? Giant Goombas was first featured in SMB3 Bob-Omb was first featured in SMB2 Soccer Ball trophy is LOL

But then the debut game in Melee would be false as well. As far as I know, the Toads are known as Kinopio in Japanese from the beginning (correct me if I'm wrong), while in English, the name Toad wasn't used until Super Mario Bros. 2 (before that, they were called "Mushroom Retainers"). We don't know if the Toad/Kinopio was already among the mushroom fellows you had to save in SMB.
