I'm probably jumping the shark here, but I think the weak US economy is might just hurt game releases in the US It was this that made me think gonintendo.com/?p=57195Like the site say, it could point towards FEDS being released in Europe soon, yet there is still not release date for Disaster. Call it paranoia but it seems Nintendo might be making a shift towards Europe and the US might be getting the game late. Thoughts?

I don't really plan on getting any of those games, so I don't really care.
Nintendo of Japan does seem to have a prejudice against the rest of the world though, it's the one thing that I hate most about Nintendo.
For instance, I've said it before, but Nintendo needs more out of Japan developers working for them.

Right now, all they have is Retro Studios and NST, both of which have done a great job. So I'm curious why they haven't branched out more. The only reason I could think of is it may be harder to run with them away from their main headquarters.

So we're getting Fire Emblem first... So what? We very occasionally get games before you.
I think you're forgetting, the weak US economy is causing a weak global economy, hitting Europe particularly hard due to close ties between our financial markets.
So if it's going to get harder for you, that doesn't mean it's going to get better for us - we're just getting Fire Emblem first. That's all.

The value of the US Dollar has been going down, tho. The President wants $700 billion for a bailout plan.
Fry, if you could lend us about £10, that ought to cover it after conversion. We'll give you your change as soon as everything is straightened out. ;D

I think it's to early to tell, wait unti the October 1st Nintendo event and if no release date are announced then you can start worrying.

He'll try and convince us to move over there before he lends us his cash, Nester.

^ Doesn't matter. I just wanted to make a lame joke about the weak US dollar. And England is too cold.

And England is too cold. Ah, England.... I've been there a long while before (almost a decade before), and I can say I'm gonna love its temperature.

Of course, I may be jumping the shark here, but It was Fire Emblem that made me think of the possibilities (though it did not prove it). Of course, I did forget about the effect on the global economy.

We've hit our peak of $2 to the £1, and now we're falling very fast! Yeeeeaaaaargh! KA-STERLING! England is cold, grey and rainy. I'm getting rickets, it's been so long since I last saw the sun

Yep, its pretty bad everywhere, really. But you gotta love Britain though. Well I do. Even if it's rather crappy at the moment, I take comfort in remembering that most americans settled from the UK (you were the crybabies who couldn't stand the constant rain, and ran off to sunnier places) ;D
