Thank god I live in New York. It has the least flaws of any state, and it's famous!

This is pretty crazy Europe gets DSi way before USI did check the sales (from VGchartz) and Europe has bought a lot more DSs (well, other, but Europe makes up most of this).

I can't believe we're falling behind Europe... No offense.
Anyway. According to an interview I saw, Reggie, once again is the culprit behind this believing "we don't need this yet"

Either way, it's really weird. I don't think Europe ever got a system before us.

He's basically saying that Nintendo of America doesn't have to release the DSi before April because they're still making enough money on the DS Lite.
I'm curious - the DSi has a bigger screen and the potential for new game titles. Are there going to be DSi exclusive titles? Almost definitely. Then aren't NoA going to damage their first party software sales considering how reliant they are on the Japanese developers, who will adopt the DSi format?

They may not want to make DSi games right away since it will alienate a large amount of buyers. I assume the early titles will support both or just be regular DS titles.

Yeah I'm in NY too and it has very few flaws.
No I think the DSi exclusive games are going to be like 1 or 2 years later anyway. And it's like a new Disk system.

The US Dollar has been improving and the gas price has been falling recently, but the economy is starting to fall apart. Meanwhile, people are building new outdoor malls and upscaling many older ones.
I wouldn't worry.

DSi exclusives?
So I'm going to have to buy this thing now?
So, what is it trying to be? DS 2 or DS 1.3?

There will probably just be DS games that have optional extra features from the DSi, like camera support and stuff. No one's forcing you to buy the DSi, regular DS games aren't obsolete. So stop complaning. It's sort of like how some original GB games got extra features when plugged into a GB Colour intstead of the original GB.

Well, in my new issue of EGM, it said that many people thought that the video Game industry would be spared because people turn to media when things go bad. Yet Game Companies have been falling apart and closing down, and laying off workers. Solution: Buy more games. But I don't see how this affects Japanese game developers.

Aren't there downloadable exclusives? I never said that, and I'm not complaining. I'm just saying that if there are DSi exclusives, that means that I'm going to get the system now for the software, even though I'm not impressed by the choices Nintendo made with the hardware. Can you play GBC games on the GB, though? I have no idea, I've never owned an original Game Boy.

To answer your points - Yes there are downloadable games over DSi, which would count as exclusives, but they aren't like the size/playtime or cost of retail games. - Okay, I'm sorry about saying you were complaning. - From what I know GBC games can't be played on the original GB because of little changes to the cartrage design that prevent it from being slotted/fitting in to a GB.

Can you play GBC games on the GB, though? I have no idea, I've never owned an original Game Boy. Depends on the game. The early GBC games usually support the old GB, for obvious reasons, while more and more GBC games released later are GBC only. For example, Pokémon Gold and Silver work with classic GB, but Crystal doesn't.
