Okay, so a lot of you don't have this game. I don't have it, but I noticed in a screenshot that Wario's health system is a lot like Link's... Note the hearts... Also, according to Mario Wiki... the music of World 1-1 is the same tune as Wario's victory theme in Super Smash Bros. Brawl and the music in World 3-4 is a remix of the music in Greenhorn Ruins from Wario World.

Heart bars aren't exclusive to The Legend of Zelda though, so we'll leave that one.
The first music cameo is interesting, and has been mentioned to me before. Although I'm undecided as to whether either of the music cameos really count as cameos, or just continuity.
I am VERY curious about that Wario victory theme though. Was it given to Sakurai during development? Or is it actually based on another theme somewhere within the Wario series?

Maybe the game was in development long enough to warrant a future-reference? I mean, they did have Roy in Melee, y'know.

Beating bosses allows you to buy a heart vessel, which is essentially a heart container (ie it extends your life gauge by one), but I don't really think its a cameo.

It's probably just inspired by Brawl. I doubt it would take very long to put it in the game, and Shake It was annnounced several monthes after Brawl came out anyways, more than enough time to put something similar to the Brawl victory music in.

It does seem odd for Wario to be the only character with an original victory theme, though.

That's why I figured that maybe the game was in development at the same time as Brawl, and thusly a concealed reference to a future release was made. I say concealed because they adopted their "no-hype" policy around the time Brawl was being...well, hyped.

The theme was heard way before the release of Wario Land in a promo video. I expect it was a future-release reference. Like... you know... Roy in SSBM

The music was done in 2006. It's not from Brawl, but vice versa.
Greenhorn Ruins is again not a cameo, it's in-series.
The hearts system is from WL4, might wanna go check that first.

One of the treasures is called Peach Sandals, this is the description:
"Sandals previously worn by a princess. They smell good. Suspiciously good."

Yeah, the heart series is from WL4, and you can get a big heart that increases your life there too, so that may be a VERY unlikely cameo.
