Luigi's Mansion
* The Ultimate Show (Super Paper Mario): An eerie tune with awesome xylophone action, what really kicks you in the pants is its frantic nature; and because you're essentially fighting against Luigi as the final boss (with a hint of Dimentio and Chaos Heart added to the mix), it's only fitting that such a creepy song be applied to Luigi's Mansion.
* Fight Against An Armed Boss (Super Mario RPG): The most intense and Brawly song from SMRPG's soundtrack, I think it deserves a spot amongst the others in Luigi's Mansion.
Mario Circuit
* Final Battle (Super Paper Mario): Another high-octane song from the score of Super Paper Mario and one of my favorites because of that; you can tell that you are impendingly fucked almost just by listening to it. This would absolutely have to be remixed with a wicked blend of guitars and violins shredding.
* Beware the Forest's Mushrooms (Super Mario RPG): Oh hell, you know that this song is awesome ;D
Tallon IV: Frigate Orpheon
* Phendrana Drifts (Metroid Prime): Everyone who's played Metroid Prime will admit that the Phendrana Drifts had some of the catchiest music in the entire game (not to mention the area was farking awesome and it's a shame that it wasn't in Brawl, but what can you do). A calm, ambient tune that reflects Phendrana's icy nature, it's a bit of a walk in a different direction from other Metroid Prime-series music, but one still fitting for a brawl. It would have to be remixed, of course.
* Crashed Frigate (Metroid Prime): Another ambient song, this one is more haunting and eerie than Phendrana Drifts - perfect for the lurking shadows and glowing orange-and-blue lights of the ship's background.
F-Zero Grand Prix: Mute City
* Dream Chaser (F-Zero X): Nintendo got step one down: include the best F-Zero X song in Brawl. I give them seven points out of ten for that. What kept it from being perfect was that it was still in max-synth N64 tunage, which is ultimately a disappointment; keep the horns keyboarded, because that gives it its unique tang, but change the guitar, drumlines and bass to orchestral shit! Make it real, make it live, make it METAL \m/ \m/.
(What, Fry, no Green Hill Zone or Shadow Moses Island...? Well, here's my two cents on GHZ anyway, just in case.)
Green Hill Zone
* What I'm Made Of (Sonic Heroes: In my opinion, including the theme from Sonic Heroes was a mistake when the music people could have instead opted for the much more metal option above. What I'm Made Of is the equivalent of Live and Learn and Open Your Heart in the fact that it's the song that plays when you take on the optional Final Boss of the game (Perfect Chaos in Sonic Adventure 1, Biohazard in SA2, Metal Madness in Sonic Heroes). It's more confrontational, more direct, more "fuck you I can WIN this!" and lacks most of the Sonic Heroes' theme's campy corniness.
Mushroom Kingdom: Princess Peach's Castle (N64)
* King of Koopas Medley: Ganondorf, Dedede, Meta Knight and Wolf all got their own themes included in Brawl, so why shoudln't have Bowser? Sure, you could say the SMW/SMB3 Castle medley might cut it, or the SMB3 Airship theme, but in reality, those fit more closely to Bowser's activities rather than Bowser himself. So I propose instead a medley made out of the following songs:
- Galaxy Plant (Super Mario Galaxy)
- Final Battle (Super Mario Sunshine)
- Angry Bowser (Paper Mario)
- Koopa's Road (Super Mario 64)
Diamond City: WarioWare, Inc.
* Jimmy T. (WarioWare: Smooth Moves): Disco + Cats = Awesome. Oh, and also, the afro always wins. 'Nuff said.
More to come!
