I don't remember exactly when I started playing Nintendo, but I can tell you it was some time around 15 years ago when we borrowed a friend-of-the-family's NES with around 30 games. Some of my awesome early non-Nintendo NES memories were from that time. Ahh, Fester's Quest, Gremlins 2, Gun Smoke...
And then of course my first ever plays on Mario, Zelda... I remember discovering you could go down pipes, jump from the top of the staircase to get 5000pts on the flagpole... didn't have a manual you see. And I remember getting to the end of the first dungeon of Zelda and being terrified by the Wall Masters and the roar of Aquamentus.
Heh Heh... good times... and the start of a long and expensive relationship with a multinational corporation of Japanese origin (not to mention endless scuffles over which was better: Mario or Sonic).

My first time was 14 1/2 years ago, playing SMB (most people play this as their first games, eh?) on Famicom at someone's else house.
But this would be a memory forever.... unless you tell me how to plug Famicom into a modern TV.
