Don't get excited over some of these questions. These are just ideas/suggestions/issues that have come up recently, and I wanted to know how the NinDB community (as well as any lurkers that might care to participate) felt about them.
I hope you'll take the time to answer these questions.
1. Would you say the 3rd Party Showcase has changed your attitude towards third party games? If so, how?
2. Do you prefer the format of the 3PS as it is now, or do you think it should change and go in a new direction?
3. Considering that the current situation for Nintendo's third parties is different now than it was last generation, do you feel that the purpose of the 3PS is still relevant?
4. Do you think the 3PS would be better off as a website of its own, independent of NinDB, or is it more appropriate now, as a feature of NinDB?
5. How would you feel if somebody else wrote for the 3PS?

1. A little. I think to me, it's more of how many people respond well to the game. 2. 3PS is written extremely well, but I normally go by reviews. If reviews were posted, I'd be more persuaded to buy the games (if they were good ) 3. 3PS is still as good as it ever was! 4. It'd be cool as it's own website. 5. More people writing 3PS would benefit well in my opinion.

1) No, not in general, as I didn't have the 'lol only Nintendo' focus. 2) I don't mind the direction its in, as I use it as a 'stepping stone' to read some actual reviews on the game. If the reviews were in the showcase as well, it would certainly be good, but I'm not sure its viable, so its fine how it is. 3) Probably slightly less relevant, but still important 4) It would probably differ from its original intent if it became its own website (as the Nintendo manbaby fanboys are unlikely to seek it down on its own website), but then its own website could potentially have more exposure. Its up to you on this one, really. 5) Couldn't hurt. Both from your end and our end.

1. No, not much, I already liked 'em.
2. it's good as it is.
3. Yes. It's relevant, as Third party games are helping the wii survive Core gamers.
4.I think it could be both, because it's good as it's own, but it has more pupose here.
5. It depends, are they as good as you or better?

1. Would you say the 3rd Party Showcase has changed your attitude towards third party games? If so, how? Thanks to the N64 drought, I have openly embraced third parties. Most of the time, it works out, too. You have however pointed me in a few directions I may not have gone without the 3PS (SSX3, anyone?). I like the way you write these. So I think there doesn't need to be a huge restructuring to them. Of course it remains relevant! The DS and Wii have tons upon tons of shovelware and licensed crap coming out, and the 3PS stands as a beacon of hope to the gamers here looking for something solid to spend their money on. I think it holds more relevance now than ever before in Nintendo's history! I think you could arguably pull this off on its own site. But I also think it serves a nice purpose here at NinDB, as well. Your call, whatever it may be. [/b][/quote] Well, you certainly have your own style with this feature. If I were to try to do what you do, I don't think I could pull it off, for example. But if people did not expect them all to be similar, then I suppose it could work, given that the person was as driven and passionate about third parties as you are, my friend.

5. How would you feel if somebody else wrote for the 3PS?1. A fair while ago, just before the Wii came out, yes, it did, somewhat. Nintendo's hyping of Red Steel helped a bit as well though. 2. I think it's fine, it's a showcase. I do think that a separate, "Third Party reviews" series would be good too though. 3. No, I don't. Many Nintendo fans still cling to the old Nintendo-published games - this is evidenced by the low sales of positively reviewed non-Nintendo games such as Zack and Wiki. 4. I don't know. Both are fine. Yes, you could make a third party showcase. Perhaps make two different elements of the site - the showcase, and the reviews. If you do decide to branch off into another site, leave some of the showcases here at NinDB at well, it could help exposure for that site. 5. I wouldn't mind. I enjoy your writing, but I wouldn't be against that sort of change.
