Sometime last year, plans about this were posted in GameFAQs (in the almost dead Tetris Attack board, to be specific). Three months later, version 0.9 was released. Then real life got in the way and that December version 1.0 was done. Site.Sure, there's not much text in the game in the first place, but you get to take a look at the four ending variations (Hard no continues, Hard w/ continues, same for S-Hard). And hey, there's this: (In case my writing made it unclear, I had absolutely no part in the translation project.)

First, I hear about MOTHER 3/GBA EarthBound being translated, then I mention Tomato translating Tomato Adventure, and now Panel de Pon's translation is under development. What's next? Tin Star, Gumshoe, Short Order/Eggsplode!!, Tin Star, Metal Combat: Falcon's Revenge, StarTropics and Zoda's Revenge: StarTropics II translated in Japanese? Sounds like people are planning to translate as many Nintendo titles as possible.

Under development? It's been almost a year since its completion.
Personally, I'd like an English version of Famicom Detective Club Part I.

I'd like to see a DS remake of the three Detective Club games in one package (including the Satellaview version). Because that series deserves more love, but each game probably isn't big enough to stand alone in these days of Phoenix Wright and other detective-style games

If they could translate them into English and put them on the VC for double the price of a normal NES game, that could work.

Under development? It's been almost a year since its completion. Personally, I'd like an English version of Famicom Detective Club Part I. Well, I said "under development" because I don't know when the final version will be released. If this is the final version, then it's complete. And I do agree that Famicom Tantei Club: Kieta Kōkeisha deserves a translation. BS Tantei Club: Yuki ni Kieta Kako might be unplayable during this time, but I found some crisp, JPEG-free images of the game itself here, and noticed that it probably can be played using something special. I'd like to see a DS remake of the three Detective Club games in one package (including the Satellaview version). Because that series deserves more love, but each game probably isn't big enough to stand alone in these days of Phoenix Wright and other detective-style games Only one of the Tantei Jingūji Saburō games was released in the U.S. for the Nintendo DS as Jake Hunter: Detective Chronicles; however, unlike the Japanese version, the U.S. version only contains the first three cases and many of the extras were cut from the game. Tantei Jingūji Saburō is similar to Nintendo's Famicom Tantei Club series, but has a larger number of games in the series.

Oh indeed. But with the current resurgence of point and click games on DS, I'd very much like to see Nintendo reviving some of its old franchises as well. Might even spur them on to make some new ones. I mean Cing is great and all... but we need MOAR! ;D Redo the artwork, redo the music... I'd love that job

Weeoooo! This would help me sooo much with my conceptual stuff. I wonder if the Panel de Pon villain would work well in Smash Sisters...
