Sounds similar to an idea I had, except Toad was in DK's place.

I didn't use Toad since there would be tons of other civilian Toads you can talk to in the game.
Also I based the characters around the ones used in Mario Party 1 and Yoshi's Island DS.

Bump for some Pokemon ideas!
Just like Gold and Silver added day and night but what if there was seasons as well? It would not only change the environment but also what Pokemon appear in the wild. Certain Pokemon even change appearance during certain seasons. For example: Oddish's leaves will change color each season and Buneary will turn white during winter.
The seasons feature will affect the Pokemon greatly, unlike the night and day of Gold and Silver which only affected a few Pokemon. Pokemon are now very specific about what seasons they show up in. Almost no bird, bug or grass Pokemon will be present during winter with a few exceptions. Some fire Pokemon are only present during summer. You'll find more unevolved bug Pokemon during the Spring, and more evolved Bugs during the Fall: (Caterpie = March, April, May, June) (Metapod = June, July, August) Butterfree = August, September, October)
Night and Day has a greater impact on Pokemon this time. More Pokemon that used to appear 24 hours will now have schedules. Venonat used to appear 24 hours but now only appears at night. Pikachu only appears in the day. All outdoor Dark and Ghost Pokemon only appear at night.
However Pokemon that dwell in caves or haunted places are unaffected by the hours and the seasons.
There will also be legendaries that you can only catch on certain days of the year. Creselia can only be caught on the night of a full moon, while Darkrai can only be caught under a new moon. (once you caught these Pokemon they won't appear again)
Certain Legendaries will be based off of the signs of the Zodiac and will only be available on those dates:
Aries = Entei Taurus = Rigirock Gemini = Articuno Cancer = Uxie Leo = Raikou Virgo = Regice Libra = Moltres Scorpio = Azelf Saggittarius = Suicune Capricorn = Registeel Aquarius = Zapdos Pisces = Mesprit
Finally evolving certain Pokemon will be easier and you no longer need Incense to to breed baby Pokemon. There is no longer a Shiney and Dusk stone, they have been replaced with Sun and Moon Stone respectively. Dawn Stone is gone completely and replaced by other means of evolution.
Seadra automatically evolves when traded. Onix automatically evolves when traded. Scyther automatically evolves when traded. Poliwhirl evolves into Politoed when leveling up holding a King's Rock. Slowpoke evolves into Slowking when leveling up holding a King's Rock. Aipom evolves at Level 32. Yanma evolves at Level 33. Piloswine evolves using the Ice Stone. Likitung evolves at Level 33. Tangela evolves at Level 33. Togekiss evolves using the Sun Stone. Male Kirlias evolve into Gallade at Level 30. Female Snorunts evolve into Froslass at Level 42. Magneton evolves using the Thunderstone. Magmar automatically evolves when traded. Electabuzz automatically evolves when traded. Dusclops automatically evolves when traded. Rhydon automatically evolves when traded. Porygon evolves at level 25. Porygon2 automatically evolves when traded. Eevee evolves into Leafeon using the Leaf Stone. Eevee evolves into Glaceon using the Ice Stone. Gligar evolves at night when happiness is reached. Sneasel evolves using the Ice Stone. Roselia evolves using the Sun Stone. Nosepass evolves into Probopass when leveling up holding a King's Rock. Clamperl evolves at Level 20 into Gorebyss if female and Huntail if Male.
Genders have more effect on the appearance of Pokemon. In addition to that Machop, Machoke and Machamp are now all males.

Triple post?!
Uh yeah had a new idea.
F-ZERO SG
The game doesn't focus on Falcon like the other ones, the is all about Goroh! That's what the SG stands for "Samurai Goroh"
Unlike other F-Zero games you'll be doing more than conventional racing although that's pretty much what you'll still be doing. It has a heavy story line that focuses on Goroh's past and relationship with Falcon and his life of crime.
Story Mode: In the story mode you'll have to enter various tournaments and try to beat your rival. But in order to do that you need to complete various crime jobs and earn steal enough cash to enter the races/ pump up your Fire Stingray.
The hub is Goroh's hideout were you can plan your various jobs, modify your machine, or enter the races.
Getting Cash: The crime jobs usually involve either crashing other machine and looting them, or escaping the Galactic Federation Police after a burglary. You'll also have to protect you're fellow thieves. You can do special request mission to recruit more members to your gang. (Beat me in a race and I'll join you!) The more thieves you have the more loot you'll steal during crime jobs. You can also request challenges to other racers you think you can beat. Some racers will decline your offer if you don't have enough cash to bet.
The Races: The main story takes place after each F-Zero race, if you beat Captain Falcon you'll progress more through the story catching cutscenes. There will be deadlines, it will say on Goroh's calendar that the official races starts in so many weeks. So you'll only have a limit number of tries to get yourself ready. If you aren't ready in time it will start over from a previous date. This game is HARD! Just like any other F-Zero game!
Multiplayer:
Multiplayer will be just like any other F-Zero game EXCEPT ONLINE! You can play as all your favorite characters and download new ones! There will also be new multiplayer Death Matches where you race through a deadly (even more deadly) course as you try kill your opponent. There's a lot more brutality in this game (well it's about Goroh after all)

Though I'm in favor of another F-Zero game, sadly to say, there's one thing where this one's amiss: Please, please try to acknowledge the other F-Zero characters besides those two.

Well I was trying to do something original with F-Zero that didn't focus on the Falcon...There's sooo many characters in that game but they are involved in the story but I didn't feel like getting into that.

Hey since everyone is reviving their game idea topics I might as well too.
For one I decided to change Super Mario Superstars into an RPG that hybrids the M&L style battles with the Paper Mario style battles. Why? I wanted to put a grand story with a platformer Mario game. In the original process I had to cut many of my original side plots in order to make the gameplay flow properly with limited stopping. I felt bad having to eliminate the Galaxy sidequest, especially now that Galaxy 2 came out.
because of the changes the world will now be different and laid out much like a Castlevainia/ Metroid type game.
Mario will permanently take the lead while the other characters like Luigi and Peach will act like the partners from the Paper Mario games. Unlike the partners from Paper Mario they can level up and equip badges and perform Partner Moves (like Bro moves of M&L) however all the partners share EXP and level up together. Any alterations to Peach will also affect Luigi.
The numbers are simple and low like Paper Mario. Everyone has a natural defense of 0 and no one has a speed stat. When you level up you choose to increase HP, FP, or BP. Same as your partner. No looking for Shines to level them up.
If Mario dies in battle it won't be game over like in Paper Mario. Instead its like M&L and the partner can still revive Mario with a 1UP Mushroom.
Basically it takes things from both series and combines them. In the overworld Partners have moves like in Paper Mario.
Luigi: Luigi hops on Mario's head and they both bounce up to high places.
Peach: Peach will hide Mario and herself under her parasol which makes her invisible to enemies and invincible to hazards. It acts like Bow and Vivian's moves.
Yoshi: Mario can ride Yoshi for boost of speed and hover over gaps. He can really jump though. Just like Yoshi Kid.
Wario: He uses an Ultra Hand to pull on things or grab objects through WALLS! He can nab Sparkies or other hazardous things and carry them to certain locations.
Donkey Kong: He'll slap the ground with his hands and unearth objects or bust through cracked floors.
Bowser: His fiery breath can melt ice, burn plants, light torches and ignite bombs.
