River City Ransom is on my "to download" list for the Virtual Console, as are many other games. I played it once with a friend many and many a year ago in a kingdom by the sea. There's a good article about the series at Hardcore Gaming 101. Care to elaborate on why you love it? |

A friend of mine got it for the Virtual Console. 2-player mode is a blast, though it gets a little easy when you get that dragon punch/kick technique, or whatever it was called. One button press pummels a thug into the afterlife. The only reason we'd occasionally die was because we accidentally pummeled each other too... a lot.
Someone should make a Wiiware remake/sequel/ripoff, I'd buy that in a heartbeat.
Also checking out that 101 page, I always found it kinda neat they used the same blocky characters in their other games.
