The primise of this game, your trying to gather Starites (little star things) in each level and anything you write down, you can use. (like ladder or axe and then one will appear). Here's the 4 page interview with the developer talking about the game. This game is sounding very good.

Hmm. I wonder how many possibilities are accessible to this game? I didn't read the interview sorry.

Hmm. I wonder how many possibilities are accessible to this game? I didn't read the interview sorry. Their making a hell of a lot and they are also making it simple to program in. All their experience from making DtL and LQ is going into this game. There is even an online and local multiplayer feature (but they haven't discussed it yet). - Like having objects that are organic/made out of flesh like an elephant or shark, - Having a predator/prey program that allows for shark to eat elephant. - Burnable objects like wooden ladders and even being able to attach objects to one another. Shark with laser beam on head was then brought up. (Every animal deserves a warm meal). You can also say tsunami, it won't help you and will wash away your character but you still can do it.

Well there's gotta be some words it won't have. You'll have to find a list online afterward of all the words that can be used.

The word part is interesting but what really intrigues me is the multiple ways to do the same thing aspect. This is where games should be headed, IMO.
Do want.

Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts went in that direction too. The only problem is the designers spend so much time on the player's options to beat a challenge that the challenges themselves become repetitive and easy. I just hope things are harder than getting a star off a tree. Bah, why am I being so pessimistic? This does look like a lot of thought was put into it, I'm sure it'll be revolutionary... At least I hope.

I know Nuts & Bolts is in that direction, and it is in fact my game of the year and the most fun I've had with a game since probably Mario Galaxy. So more like it would be kickass.

I agree with Koopaul, in that it might become too easy to play because of all the "right" words to solve puzzles. With all the word possibilities, it'd be very hard to lose, so not very challenging.
It'd be quite fun to see all the different combinations though! I'd probably try "octopus" first every time, just to see what happens ;D

A new interview/preview of the game has appeared. It has some pretty interesting comments about the game's database of useable objects even mentions an obscure object such as a "chafing dish" is in the game. Also the dev team is saying WarioWare is best analogy to how the game play with all it's different challenges.

An article on trying to stump Scribblenauts on words/objects it does not have. I tried "dog." Success. A dog appeared.
"Unicycle." That worked. Then I put the dog on it.
"Beer." Nope. Too adult.
"Root Beer." Success. Maxwell held the root beer.
Upon a publicist's suggestion: "Night Vision Goggles." Success. Maxwell put them on and the screen tinted green.
"Tabasco Sauce." Nope. Proper name?
"Sun." One appeared with a tether to hang it to the sky.
"Bear" then "Tiger"... Both appeared. They fought. The bear won as the tiger disappeared in a puff of smoke.
"Honey." The bear ran to it.

I'm wondering how this is going to go Cameo-Wise.
I mean, what do you thinks going to happen if you spell "Mario" or "Metroid".
Still Gonna get this game for the awesome factor.

Well, it's just been revealed that the "multiplayer" component of this game is the ability to share and edit levels. It also allows you to define the relationship objects have with one another, eg, have a bear fear honey instead of liking it. Source.
