In your Fire Emblem 4 section you have the Englich name as Fire Emblem: The Ancestral Crusade. The real name is actually Fire Emblem: Geneaology of the Holy Wars.

Well, I think different people have their own translation. I usually call FE4 the Geneaology of the Holy Wars, but (perhaps) Fryguy64's verion of translation have the same meaning.

I made a decision based on what makes a good game name. It's near impossible to translate directly from Japanese, so I went for a slightly different translation to the norm, so "genealogy" became "ancestral" and "holy wars" became "crusade". In this respects, I hope it sounds a lot better... a more marketable name

True, it does indeed sound cooler, but the FE community generally accepts it as GotHW.

No, I think you'll find if you put the name through a Japanese translator then it comes out with the name the Fire Emblem community uses... which is just lazy.
There is no single agreed upon use for the name. It's also a horrifically ugly name. Oh, and aside from a few lone Fire Emblem websites, there was no English-speaking Fire Emblem community when I did the translation.

Fair enough. I respect your opinion.

And I respect yours. Just beating you down as I've done to some of YoungLink's "errors" in the past ;D
After all, when it's all down to semantics, it's hardly an error... more of a disagreement (but then, I suppose wars have been fought over less).

This makes me think of.... Earlier before I became a member here, I was pointing out some disagreement-rather-than-errors.
Just like the game genre arguments that I used to tell Fruguy about via email! EDIT: Just a little thing to tell - I thought Fry WAS mad with me because of his "Don't sent me email like this" opinion. And, Fry, that's why you didn't heard from me since then for about a month or two. I was scared. Arrrrrrrrgh!
Well, it's hard to avoid such things like disagreeing, especially some information on NinDB are more opinion than fixed facts, for instance, game description.

I think I snapped at you when you sent me an email called "error in Nintendo Database" (which is enough to get me worried), but the error in question was a single letter error that didn't actually matter all that much. I was also irritable anyway... But yes, game genre, aspects of a game's description, translations... these are more or less open for discussion, rather than right vs. wrong. Something that's clearly contrary to a game's content, official release or some important factor missing... now THAT is an error. I wish to be informed of these as often as possible!! ;D But no need to be scared. I just don't appreciate being told I'm wrong when it's merely a matter of preference. And I'd be no different if you met me in real life as well ;D EDIT: Oh, and in time, YL, I have come to respect and embrace your somewhat limitless capacity for pickiness. It's definitely done the site a lot of good

Ancestral Crusade is pretty much correct. "Seisen" ( 聖戦) means "crusade", and "holy war" would be incorrect because this combination of kanji means "crusade". "Keifu" (系譜) means "genealogy" or "lineage", but ancestral would also be correct.
