Anyone played this game? I found it to be quite good, I highly recommend it.
Here's how I summarized De Blob in another thread:

I haven't played de Blob, but I've only heard good things about it. I might pick it up at some point.
It would probably be worthy of a 3PS... if I were still writing them.

The control scheme looks pretty cool, but it doesn't seem like my type of game.

That's what I was thinking - I just came back to this forum after a few months, and I was surprised to see that neither De Blob nor No More Heroes were part of the 3PS. The control scheme looks pretty cool, but it doesn't seem like my type of game. Hm, try it out if you get the chance. Although, you probably won't. I don't think it sold to well.

Perhaps the early reports of de Blob having poor sales are not entirely accurate. According to IGN, NPD reports that the game sold 230,000 copies by the end of December, which is 80,000 units more than Nintendo's own Wario Land: Shake It! WHAT?! A third-party game sold better than a first-party game? Um... wow. Er, as I was saying, according to a THQ spokesperson, "We're pleased with de Blob's performance worldwide. . .expect to see more of de Blob in the future." So, perhaps a sequel is in order?

WHAT?! A third-party game sold better than a first-party game? Um... wow. I have a reason for that. De Blob commercials were shown constantly from what I saw when it came out. I never once saw a commercial for Wario Land. I know I say this a lot, but if games want to sell, they can't rely strictly on word of mouth.
