Goodbye 2008, we shall miss you. RIGHT! Now that's over, lets start looking forward to what's happening this year! Here's details of all the cool 2009 games I'm looking forward to, and think you guys should be anticipating too! Another Code RAlso known as Trace Memory R, this is a sequel to a cool little DS point-and-click game. Expect great puzzles, and even if there's not much action, the story (if its anything like the first game) will drag you in and won't let go. For people who prefer brains over brawn. Klonoa: Door to PhantomileA remake of a PS1 game? I can already hear your distaste. But seriously, give it a chance - it may look like a generic 2.5D platformer, but apparently this is one to watch if you believe some of the previews going round. Simple but fun. Murusama: The Demon BladeTo be released near the end of 2009, Murusama is a very cool looking ninja action game. Play as either a male or female character, each with unique special abilities, and basically kill things ninja style. Apparently when its in motion, its like watching your own interactive high-octane anime! Very fast. Madworld[/u] You should all have heard of this one. Sega's hardcore masterpiece will be heavy on style, and heavy on violence! The story (yes theres a story!) is that your a contestant on an ultraviolent gameshow, so its not enough to kill your opponents - you have to be inventively violent to please the crowd! I'll add more soon!

This game is awesome. I'm definitely looking forward to it.

I am looking forward to Mad World, although I have a slightly squiffy feeling it won't be all that tough gameplay wise.
There should be a crapton of awesome DS stuff coming our way as well. I'm actually looking forward to the DS releases a lot more this year, rather than the Wii.

Here's some more to look forward to! Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Echoes of TimeDo you know how some Wii games get sloppy, cut-down ports on the DS? Well, for the first time you'll be getting the exact same game on both Wii and DS but with a bit of graphical tweaks here and there. Doesn't sound exciting? What if you had a multiplayer game where player 1 was on the Wii, player 2 was in the same room on a DS (to keep their stats out of the way), player 3 was on another continent connecting their Wii to the internet, and the last member of the party was sat in a cafe somewhere with their DS connected to an internet hotspot? All in real time with minimal lag? NOW you're interested. GhostbustersThis is gonna be so cool! Voiced by the original movie cast, story written by the guy who player Spengler, Proton Pack zappers controlled similar to the Eledees gun, ghost traps thrown out with a flick of the nunchuck! It looks like a lot of fun! Sin and Punishment 2HIGH SCORE! A sequel of an obscure japan-centric shoot-em-up, it only really came about because of the huge success the re-release had on virtual console. Shoot lots of aliens in a frantic, frenetic manner! Little King's StoryRemember the Wiiware title "My Life as a King"? It was kinda fun bossing your subjects around and building your town, but you couldn't actually go out on quests and adventures. Enter stage left, Little Kings Story. This cool game is basically "My Life as a King" but with actual content! You get to lead a group of villagers out to slay monsters and conquer neighboring kingdoms, controlling your subjects kinda like Pikmin. Can't wait! EVEN MORE SOON! Including a Wiiware special!

I'm looking forward to the Conduit, let's hope that it's good. I might even pick up the new Pokemon to see if I can get back into the series. Here's what I'm looking forward to for this year: WiiTrace Memory R MadWorld (apparently it's too violent for Australia though ) The Conduit Deadly Creatures DSMoon Mario & Luigi RPG 3

MadWorld (apparently it's too violent for Australia though ) I wonder why they already stated not to release the game in Germany, but still want to bring it to Australia? Australian game ratings can be even stricter than German ratings, can't they? There is no adult-only rating for games in Australia (that's odd).

Here's part three! Kororinpa 2I absolutely loved the first game (in which you try to get a marble to the goal, much like Super Monkey Ball but without monkeys and better physics), so I'm looking forward to this one a lot. Expect a multiplayer mode, harder puzzles (one level is made entirely of slippery ice) and a cool level creator! Rumour has it this'll be balance board compatible too! MoonThe first "epic" DS game of 2009, this has been compared to Halo in the palm of your hands. And unlike many 1st person shooters, the story's supposed to be pretty good too! MatchmanThis looks like a lot of fun! An imaginative DS sidescrolling actioner, Matchman is also gonna get a 3D RPG on Wii as well. Stylish, with a huge sense of humour! Mario and Luigi 3In my opinion, this is the big one of 2009. The latest in a great series of games thats known for its innovative combat system and hilarious humour throughout! A whole level will be set inside Bowser's stomach! Next time - Wiiware!

Am really looking toward to M&L3. I skipped 2 because I can't handle actuion with 4 buttons- controlling 2 characters at the same time is already not an easy task, and 4....
Seems that this time you take control of 3 instead. The Bros and... somewhat, Bowser.
The screenshot of Matchman looks like some Flash game. But that also hints that it could have been freeware. Oh well.

Thanks for this thread Old Man, I actually forgot about a good deal of these games. Wanna play that Klonoa. Hope they don't actually change him into that weird fox/cat character for the US release though.

This is all awesome, but why does it look like the kid in S&P 2 have iPod earlets attatched to his arms? Also, the shroob gates in M&L3

MadWorld (apparently it's too violent for Australia though ) I wonder why they already stated not to release the game in Germany, but still want to bring it to Australia? I thought that they just gave up on it? It's some weird undemocratic law loopholes that are causing the fact that the R rating can not be used for games. Well, at least in Australia we don't ban Hitler and the inverted swastika.Yeah, our censors can be pretty bad. Like, that gay lame bad vandalism game that no-one liked. That didn't come here. I'm... um... upset in principle.

More, more, more! Swords and SoldiersThis one is looking SO good! Basically a side-scrolling strategy game, where you have to control your soldier as well as strategically direct your army at the same time as using god-like power-ups and foraging for ores and gold to actually build your army! Frantic but very fun! Animales De La MuerteDefend yourself against hordes of the animal undead, mexican style! Need I say any more? Its about time zombie games got a bit more colourful! Cave StoryAn old-school adventure game with a cute pixel art style, Cave Story is a cult classic PC game heading onto Wiiware. Apparently, this is gonna be awesome. Lost Winds 2Hope and pray, my friends......hope and pray. That's it for now, I'll add more if I remember any.

That Swords and Soldiers is actually pretty charming looking. It's like a delightful twist of Battalion Wars meets Paper Mario. That's one of those games I really want to play, but never probably will because the Wii is a bitch to get online.

So far the only games I'm interested in this year are Kirby Super Star Ultra, Miles Edgeworth: Perfect Prosecutor (although I'm convinced that it won't be out where I am, until the spring of 2010 so...) and Pikmin 3.
