For those of you with multiple platforms, what Xbox 360, PS3 and PSP games look interesting for you in 2009?
For me it's:
Multi-platform
Resident Evil 5:
I just finished Resident Evil 4 on the Wii a week or so. That was my first introduction to the franchise, and I have to say: I loved it! I'm definitely looking forward to the sequel.
BioShock 2: Sea of Dreams:
The original Bioshock was simply great, so even though the title "Sea of Dreams" doesn't sound very promising, it'll probably be a deserving sequel regardless.
Assassin's Creed 2:
The original Assassin's Creed was quite good but somewhat flawed so I'm hoping that Ubisoft manages to fix some of the aforementioned flaws in this new sequel. I've heard that it may be set in Revolutionary France, and that would be awesome!
Xbox 360
Halo 3: ODST:
Yes, it's just more Halo 3, but it doesn't pretend to be more than that, and that in itself will at least be decent. If it's not budget priced, I definitely won't buy it, though (unless I find it for really cheap).
Halo Wars:
I know that it's just Microsoft trying to expand their franchise, but can you really blame them for it? It's made by the same people as Age of Empires, and I really enjoyed that series, so this will likely be well-done too.
It's a bit unfortunate that all I've heard of that looks interesting is Halo and more Halo. Does anyone else know of any potentially good 360 exclusives coming out this year?
PS3
God of War 3:
I haven't gotten the chance to play any of the God of War games, and I've heard that they're great, so I'm definitely going to check this one out.
Uncharted 2:
I might get it used or on sale. I heard that it's good, but not great. I might just get the original Uncharted instead, if I can find it cheap.
The next Ratchet and Clank game
I've been a fan of the series for a while, and the previous PS3 iteration was great, so I'm really looking forward to this one.
We'll see if any of these games actually hold up to the hype, or if they'll be 2009 games at all!
