I adore Capt. Falcon's theme from this game. It's still in my sig, actually.

I liked Falcon's theme and the "Night of Big Blue" song. The rest is ear-bleeding material. Which is a shame, because I loved the F-Zero X soundtrack.

It's ear bleeding if you dislike techno. Honestly, I think the music was a nice change into a different genre, though I do prefer rock.

I love techno. GX's music was a tuneless racket. XD

Kirbychu, surely you can't be saying that you think the sexy Red Canyon remix is BAD? If that is what you are saying, well then I hate you. Expect to not wake up tomorrow.

You do know thanks to people that whined about this game like you( that's Miyamoto) are the primary reason Sega cannot use the license again? And thanks to that, the series is dead. So people should NOT share their true opinions about the game? Having them release another game that is too difficult will not help the series. Besides, Doo said that the VS and Grand Prix modes were fine. :/ I've never played this game (actually, that's a lie. I tried playing it once for 5 minutes. I DID play the rip-off version called Tube Slider every once and while until I traded it in at GameStop to get GH: Aero. I have the original F-Zero on my Wii though.) And although I never played it, I've always been interested in the F-Zero AX arcade game.

I was really fond of this game, despite Story Mode's difficulty. I did what I could there and after some time I managed to clear it on Normal Difficulty, but you only get the AX racers on hard. After getting through a handful of chapters, I just used the Action Replay to get the rest, as well as those CGI scenes (poor Michael Chain, losing that muscleman contest to freaking Mrs. Arrow of all people! X( I can't stand her!). Since my GC data got purged, I need to dig out my brother's GC in order to unlock all that stuff again (GCN Action Replay doesn't work on the Wii).
Although I did like...I think chapter 3, where you face off against Michael Chain's Chain Gang. It was a lot like X's Death Race mode (something I wish had been more officially included in GX).
Other than that, the game was a fantastic experience. What Nester said about the game, how it felt like a whole new experience, applies to me, too; while I loved X, GX is great too because of that very reason. They feel like two separate racing games.
So far as the soundtrack is concerned, I think it's pretty good, but it lacked the same epic 80's metal sounds from X. I can listen to them and enjoy them. I really love the themes, too, especially Digi-Boy's and Mighty Gazelle's. ♥

I did manage only a few of the AX racers in Story Mode. But fortunately, I did at least unlock Very Hard mode on pretty much all the chapters. I just hope to be ready for them.
As far as music goes, I liked the one in the intro scene to the first Story mission. The BGM that I like to call "F-Zero to Hero".

I unlocked I think it was 3 AX racers - using the AX machine. Because I'm that awesome. And never managed to even finish all of the story mode on normal, let alone hard.
GX is great because while insanely difficult, its not cheap - it feels like if you aren't winning a challenge its because you aren't doing well, not because of any problems with the game. Very few difficult games achieve this.
If we get a toned down casual-focussed sequel I'm gonna be piiiiiissed.

If they ever put an F-ZERO on Wii, it certainly can't use the "hold the remote sideways" method. Can you imagine trying to steer a vehicle moving that fast?

I bet the Wii Wheel would work with an F-Zero on the Wii. Anyway, anyone else noticed a lot of Sonic vibes in GX? Besides being developed by Sega, there's a lot of that kind of stuff to pinpoint in the game. (And besides the speed. ) Mostly lyric-heavy rock (song names to boot). Cutscenes are on almost the same level as that of a Sonic game (except the characters here are much more tolerable in comparison). Not sure of what else.

Wow. Rock music and cutscenes. Just like Sonic!!
Aside from the fact F-Zero GX was developed by the (then) AM2 team, which wasn't anything to do with Sonic.

Ah, so THAT's it. A different team. Meh, nothing short of a stab in the dark, but I see.

I really would like to see how it likes to use Phoenix.
