I thought you guys might be interested to know that The Happy Video Game Nerd has recently posted a loving 20+ minute episode focused on Earthbound. You can view it here.

It was a pretty good video, I skipped the first minutes footage montage until I got to the part where he said their would be no spoilers.
I found it odd that he said mentioned Earthbound's "loyal fanbase" and then mentioned Starmen.net at the end but I assume he did that not to link them up with fan translation. I also surprised he didn't show more pictures of the EarthBound at #1 on the NP most wanted lists because it wasn't like that for just one month.
I still want to play EarthBound, but I don't want to get an emulator to do so . . . I know the US VC is past the 250 games mark but how close are they to 300 yet?

I know the US VC is past the 250 games mark but how close are they to 300 yet? More importantly, are Nintendo any closer to sorting out the copyright issues over the Hippy music (which is a remix of the song Johnny B. Goode), and the Dali watch enemy in Moonside?

I think the review was pretty well done, but I disagree with most of Derek the HVGN's opinion about Zoda's Revenge: StarTropics II, because he said it was responsible for ending the series, but I believe Genyo Takeda, the creator of the StarTropics and Punch-Out!! series, decided to make the series end this way, because he has less software developing experience than hardware manufacturing. He did the same thing to the "SNES Super Punch-Out!!" Also, when comparing to ST1, ST2 has superior gameplay, but the plot's not as good as ST1's plot. Most reviews of GameFAQs users for ST2 are about as positive as the ones for ST1.
There's one thing he forgot to mention about the MOTHER/EarthBound series: MOTHER 2/SNES EarthBound being available in the Masterpieces section only in the Japanese version of SSBB. Seems that Nintendo of America is too afraid to do much anything with the series, but I guess Nintendo of Europe isn't afraid of it as much as NoA is, because I heard they were going to release MOTHER 3/GBA EarthBound in Europe, but then canceled it.

Wait...who did you just quote? Someone from the RetroJunk forums. He seems a little harsh. When I showed a picture of my Shaymin, he looked at my Piplup and said "I got Shaymin too... and all you have other than that is a level six Piplup? F*ck dude, get off and start playing." Currently, I'm busy with life concerns and I have Piplup at Lv17. I asked Mezase_Master why he thought HVGN's MOTHER 2/SNES EarthBound review was gay in his opinion, and he said "The guy is a highly unfunny nerd who spends over ten minutes explaining the obvious. Also I can tell you he failed to mention tons of stuff." Here is where it's located.

...but, why are you quoting and responding to him on here? He already edited his post, it was obviously a mistake when trying to write his same comments from Retro Junk. Back to topic!
