Well here's something interesting, just looking around various Wikis just browsing one and then jumping to the next, I found one surprisingly in-depth Pikmin Wiki ( pikmin.wikia.com/wiki/Main_Page) Checking it out I noticed some PAL only treasures from Pikmin 2 I never got a chance to check out before. Among the PAL only treasures was one in particular that interested me. This "Magical Stage" ( pikmin.wikia.com/wiki/Magical_Stage) one seemed quite interesting. Being a part of the same series that includes the Nintendo Hanafunda and Traditional Playing Cards, I have to wonder if this treasure is just as well a part of their pre-video game endeavors. After all they were a toy company as well right?

If that treasure is legit, its a cameo of something. Dunno if its Nintendo related, but the cameos that weren't were more recognizable.
And yeah, they were a toy company. They originally made cards before branching off in the 70s.

Hmm... I have all the treasures in my PAL version of the game, and that doesn't ring any bells... I may be wrong.
Are you sure it's a PAL treasure and not a Japanese treasure that was taken out of the American version? That seems a lot more likely.
I also don't recognise it from any of my trawls through Nintendo's toy catalogue. What a mystery! It'd be more helpful if I could read the text running along the side of it.

The whole brand changes during localizations in Pikmin 2 was always interesting to me. Some versions got packages of noodles and honey jars; my version got chap stick and Cold Sores Medicine. Seems like it could be a generic "Magical Girl Mirror" toy in contrast to the actual pocket mirror treasure also found in the game.
