Pardon the lazy cross-post from LVLs: TheSpeedGamers’ latest marathon begins today, August 20, at 7 pm EDT/4 pm PDT, and will last for 72 hours. This time, they will be playing through several titles in both the Prince of Persia series and the Assassin’s Creed series. As far as I’m aware, a specific list of which games will be played has not been made available, but I’m sure that most of the main games will make an appearance.
The charity being represented is the Gulf Restoration Network, which is dedicated to helping clean up the oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico. The initial donation target is $12,000.

TheSpeedGamers' Castlevania marathon has just started. I'm not sure how long it's going to last, but probably only 48 hours. They'll be playing the following games: * Symphony of the Night * Super Castlevania IV * Simon’s Quest * The Adventure ReBirth * Lament of Innocence * Harmony of Dissonance * Castlevania 64 * Lords of Shadow * Portrait of Ruin * Aria of Sorrow * Harmony of Despair The charity they're playing for is Rocking H Ranch, which is actually not a charity in and of itself. Rather, it's an organization that donates money to other charities. You can see which ones at their website. The hosts are wearing costumes for Halloween that were voted on during the previous marathon. Britt is dressed as Princess Peach.

I don't know how many of you guys are into Kingdom Hearts, but that's what TheSpeedGamers chose for their holiday marathon this year. If that doesn't deck your halls, they're also adding in Jet Force Gemini as a special bonus game that was voted on during the last marathon. The marathon starts right now (as I type this) and lasts 72 hours. They're raising money for the Best Friends Animal Society. For more info, check here. |

Almost forgot to mention it here, but TheSpeedGamers are just starting a "classic" Pokemon marathon. They are going to catch all 251 Pokemon from the first two generations in under 72 hours. Specifically, they're playing the original Red, Blue, Yellow, Gold and Silver. More info at LVLs. |

TSG's 72-hour Metroid Marathon begins today at 7 pm EDT/4 pm PDT. They'll be playing almost every game in the series except, I think, Hunters. (Tho, they are playing Prime Pinball.) They'll be raising money for Civic Force, a Japanese disaster relief agency. Any objections, ladies and gentlemen? |

Sextuple post!  TheSpeedGamers will begin their week-long Star Wars marathon today at 7 pm EDT/4 pm PDT, during which they will play as many Star Wars video games as they can get their hands on. They will be raising money for Direct Relief International with an initial goal of $30,000. May The Force be with you! |
