You're being pretty dramatic about meme's koopaul. Is there a meme based on you or something?
Meme's are pretty much puns/jokes ran into the ground and then some more. Yes I actually thought 'Can't let you brew that, Starbucks' was kind of funny. Now there's 1347 of these Wolf images that try too hard and it's just plain annoying.

Not true, memes and spam can be one the same. Usually a person will spam a topic using memes. It's happened many times. There'll be an intelligent topic going on, and then someone will start throwing about a bunch of memes like Rickrolls and such. I'm not saying established internet memes can't be used in trolling. The point of trolling is to hijack a conversation and focus attention on the "spammer", which is entirely selfish. Memes can be used to this end, but I'm saying that internet memes and trolling are two completely different things. That doesn't mean one can't be combined with the other. Analogy time: Christianity contains good rules that have helped many people live honest lives... that doesn't mean it can't also be used to perpetuate terrible evils, such as racism and such. You can misuse just about anything if you're selfish enough! A large portion of them originate from some of the most notorious people on the internet. I'm sorry... this is the silliest thing I have heard anyone say on these forums for a while. The most notorious people on the internet?!

Hmm? I wouldn't do that.
You still don't know who I'm referring to do you?
Look just know that a lot of bad things happened to me because some of this internet culture got out of hand.
Please Fryguy. Understand. Maybe we got our definitions wrong... But I know trolling to be a whole lot different...
Imagine someone being ridiculed on the internet to the point where his account is changed to make him look like a fool.
Now imagine all of that person's accounts across the internet being hacked and changed to fuel someone's fun.
Now what if those people found personal information on that person and posted it across the internet! Or how about this? Actually calling that person's house and leaving terrible messages on their answering machine!
How's that sound? Not so fun huh? Well guess what? Its happened! And it can all start with a fun joke on the internet!

Some Internet memes originated from a website that FryGuy64 hates: YTMND.
For some other Internet memes there is:
Falcon Punch (This not only came from the SSB series, but it started spreading further out when someone didn't want to watch Ryu Suzaku/Rick Wheeler in the F-ZERO anime and just wanted to watch Captain Falcon reveal himself as the Falcon House coffee shop owner, while sending his Falcon Punch at Black Shadow. After that, a gigantic explosion that looks half or 1/3 as long as the width of a galaxy caused people to think that Captain Falcon is the Chuck Norris in video game history, putting Segata Sanshiro in second place. However, the explosion wasn't caused by Captain Falcon himself, it was caused by something either Black Shadow or Ryu Suzaku/Rick Wheeler did, but most people don't care, because people like the raging anger or silly yelling of several real and fictional people. For some examples which are also Internet memes are "It's over 9000!" from the first DBZ English dub, the cry of Leeroy Jenkins similar to Captain Caveman's, "Khaaaaaan!" from Star Trek II: Wrath of Khan, "This is MADNESS! Madness? THIS-IS-SPAR-TA!!!" from the movie titled 300, "NOOOOOOOO!!!" from Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith, "IT'S A TRAP!" from Star Wars Episode VI: Return of the Jedi, "Nothing moves the Blob" from the first X-MEN arcade by Konami, Burger King's Chicken Fries song I heard on YTMND, Howard Dean's shouting speech with a "YEEAAAAAAHH!!!" at the end of it, "I should of been the one to fill your dark soul with LIGHT!!!" from a Devil May Cry game, "Nobody expects the Spanish inquisition!" from a Saturday Night Live short, and several others.)
NYAH NYAH (A smilie face looking upward while smiling with his mouth wide open.)
Shoop Da Whoop (A face that only shows eyes and a very wide-opened mouth. He shouts "IMMA FIRIN' MA LAZOR!!!" while spitting a large and long laser beam. I wish he would zap at the NYAH NYAH face.)
The Emo Song (A song from YTMND dedicated to emos and sometimes other gothic people.)
NSMB (This isn't an abbr. for New Super Mario Bros., this is an abbr. for something that originated from Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, someone's thought about the New York City sequence of the NES Punch-Out!! series, and some hip-hop or rap song that mentioned it.)
LOL CATS (A series of photographs, edited images or animated .GIFs showing cats doing silly things. Some examples include the Lime Cat, the Loooooong cat, the sniper kitten, which cat is on drugs, a cat saying things like "I'm n ur fridge eatin' all ur food." or "I'm at ur YTMND profile downvoting all ur YTMNDs.", etc.)
Dramatic Prairie Dog (sometimes incorrectly called Dramatic Chipmunk or Dramatic Gopher or some other rodent, which some people don't care what it is, is a scene from the J-pop show Morning Musame, showing the rodent standing up and looking back while the camera zooms closer to its face with some shocking music plays.)
The Burger King (Some consider him to look so scary, if you come up close to him, he'll say "Where is your God now?", while some consider him to be so great to have, because they thought McDonald's has a mascot while Burger King didn't; but there was an older Burger King I remember seeing, which was a doll. The Burger King Kids Club group may also count, but they were made for kids only.)
lol, internet! (A YTMND fad that shows Ronald McDonald driving very fast while pointing diagonally front-upwards and shouting with a speech balloon that reads "lol, internet!". Ronald McDonald is also a Japanese Internet meme, which was caused by his Japanese commercials, especially the one where he said "DON DON DOOO! When Ronald gets happy, I just have to do this. Come on everyone, join in! Here we go! DON DON DOOOOOO!!!". There are also two VS. arguments. One is in English, which is a battle between Ronald McDonald and another English Internet meme: the Burger King. The other is in Japanese, which is a battle between Ronald McDonald and Colonal Sanders.)
Wilford Brimley (a movie actor and a farmer who became a diabetic and supported Quaker Oats and most notably, Liberty Medical in advertising. When his Liberty Medical television commercials frequently aired even today during the CBS game show, The Price is Right, someone from my home U.S. state, Georgia, started creating a few music videos like The Beetus, while creating a website that makes fun of him.)

And it can all start with a fun joke on the internet! So, basically, you were the butt of a joke on a forum, your account was hacked, then the rest of your accounts were hacked, your personal information was stolen and spread around on the net. I'm not trying to trivialise this, but that doesn't sound like it has anything to do with internet memes. It didn't "start with a joke". It started with you hanging out with jerks who clearly didn't like you. It involves illegal hacking, illegal theft of personal information and illegal distribution of personal information without consent. None of that has anything to do with internet memes. I'm sorry that happened to you, I really am, but I think your blame is focused on the wrong thing. Internet memes are harmless, if a little annoying sometimes. Trolling is when you are bombarded with messages/spam from a specific individual in a power-play. You were hacked, abused and pursued... which could be considered to be Extreme Trolling getting way out of hand. Anyway, the moral of the story is... Don't distribute your personal information across the internet, and ensure you use multiple passwords and decent security. And don't say anything that makes you the butt of a joke... Like you did on the last page of this topic... and the reason I changed my account ;D

Nobody expects the Spanish inquisition!" from a Saturday Night Live short You mean Monty Python, right? Anyway, memes are alright in my book, apart from people constantly rickrolling me, which just pisses me off (even though I happen to like that song, I don't want to hear it constantly).

Long before Rickrolling became a "thing", I used to just send the lyrics to "Never Gonna Give You Up" to my friends to confuse them. You could say I was one of the first Rickrollers

Damn Parrot, you have a wierd-ass way of describing things. When it comes to memes, I personally find some of them more annoying than others. Generally I think the ones that people tried to turn into memes are the worst of the lot. When something becomes a meme by accident it's usually funnier and more personal. I like how places like NinDB are able to create their own personal memes rather than resorting to the ones that have spread all over the internet like butter.

parrothead: You mentioning Star Wars reminds me of the "Do not want" thing. Boo Destroyer: Profanity. In a place where it isn't really necessary. It's like... Well, NinDB allows the use of it doesn't mean you can spam it without a good cause. Here in this case I don't think it's particularly funny or otherwise good to use it. You may have a good intention, but I simply do not encourage it. Not in one of the topic I started. Fry: Here's something good for you. Non-Fry's open this link with caution. Koopaul: Sorry to hear that, and... I hope you learn a lesson on Internet security. If anything, make as few connection between the Internet and your personal live as possible. And it's kind of ironic that your action on the Internet is probably more "public" than what you do outside of it. People probably do not attack you just for your personal informaiton if you are walking on the street. (Considering taking walks outside may cause physical damage, however, I'd still say it's more dangerous than the Internet.) -------- Oh, and since this topic has gotten a bit sensitive.... Disclaimer time. These are my opinions, and you can disagree as you like. But one thing: no personal attack please. I don't think any of you here will, but it's a just-in-case statement here.

Well they only attacked me on that forums, Myspace and Facebook. So its not as bad as it sounds. And the person information was only posted on that one message board... I wonder if that meme about me still floats around that place... Probably not.
But I suppose I can't hate memes because one was made to drive me bonkers.

They're ALL made to drive EVERYONE out of their minds. That's why there are over 9,000 memes to throw 'em around. Your story is sad, but just hating any old meme just because of the idiots who screwed with you is kinda nonsensical, sorry but it's true. Trick of the trade, and I know from experience, is to live in the present. It's over, so it's behind you. I've been victimized on homophobia and fear of retardation (neither ended up true, I'm straight as an arrow and sharp as a knife), I know what it's like.
So, anyways, I herd u liek Mudkipz?
