After nearly posting this in the Pokemon Platinum thread, I decided that this would be far better as it's own thread.

Junichi Masuda (member of Game Freak) and director of Dia/Per and Platinum has a blog, that's translated into english.

The blog is named "Hidden Power of Masuda."

Some used to claim that the election of Red and Blue in America had something to do with the flag of the United States. But beyond that, it's more logical to have a Fire-themed version and a Water-themed version IMO. I mean, Grass wasn't even one of the Greek elements unless you consider it Earth.

On February 27th.
The video game "Pocket Monsters RED/GREEN" for Game Boy was launched in Japan.
The day, PIKACHU, VENUSAUR, CHARIZARD, MEOWTH, MEWTWO and many other Pokemon gave a birth.
