Like the CPs in many other games, CPs in Brawl do not compete well with human players when not given biased advantages. I've made a few replays here, and if you're ever interested you can view them. I just don't think people are interested in seeing replays with all those data copying stuff - in fact, I meself was too lazy for that too. Since I don't have a decent way to record videos, all I can give are these binary files. wario.memebot.com/rp.zipIncluding: - Capt Falcon vs Bowser with a damage ratio of 2.0 (That's not exactly a "damage" ratio... it determines the distance of the victim sent flying, not the damage% itself) - Recovery stupidities: Ike (Lv 3), Pit (3), Wolf (9) - just plain stupid. Really. - Disciples of Order stupidity: (Radiant Dawn reference here) I think I understand what Goddess Ashera means by sending the "strongest" of her disciples.... strong, but not smart. All CPs are Lv 9. - No sympathy: demonstrates an angry 1P Ike destroying his non-friend Lv 9 CP Bowser because he wanted to play rough with Ike. EDIT: Alright, Teev, is this title alright now? I don't think others without your wicked mind would misread "CP" like that.

There's child porn in Brawl? (I think you mean CPU)

There's child porn in Brawl? (I think you mean CPU) Remember, I'm a Japanese version player. CP means computer player. What does CPU stands for? I don't quite understand why the localizers change that. I mean, processors don't seem to look like opponents you must fight like computer PLAYERS do.

What does CPU stands for? I ComPUter and possibly referencing the Central Processing Unit of a computer.

Since the Central Processing Unit is the brain of the computer-player, a CPU in reference to an opponent is basically like an invert of saying "I'm fighting a brain." That wierds me out and I'd like an explanation for why we call computer-players by their brains but humans by their controller.
I remember a couple scenarios. Let's see...there was one in the Mushroomy Kingdom (1-1). It was me (Mario) and three computers (Lucario, Sonic, and someone who I keep thinking was Fox,) several items on including the Smash Ball. Sonic got the Smash Ball several times and would get himself stuck behind a Warp Pipe. The camera would scroll on, and he'd die as soon as his Final ended.

I've got replay records about Diddy Kong and Meta Knight trying to cross walls they cannot pass through. You really want to doubt how are the CPs improved in this game.

You really want to doubt how are the CPs improved in this game. I don't. In my experience, fighting a level 5 in Brawl is the same as fighting a level 9 in Melee. Which is why I stick to fighting level 3's and 4's. Also, I hate the computers for cheating (especially when they get the Dragoon/Smash Ball). As soon as the get either one, they go out of their way to target me! And if I get any Dragoon pieces/ the Smash Ball, it take only one or two hits before I drop it, while I have to repeatedly hit the computer to do the same thing.

While Brawl opponents don't stand there and do nothing like the Melee ones do, it' still easy as ever to lure them to commit suicide. Level 9's fight by spamming close-range attacks that you cannot escape from, but for both games if you fight like a coward, avoiding them and lauching surprise attacks, they're no match no matter what level are they or which Smash Bros you play in. I think the computer players are advantage that they know how to avoid stale-move negation. A same move repeated 10 times would be 49% as efficient as a newly used move, and that might explain why CPs do better in this aspect. If they don't have access to internal variables, they'll be hopeless as ever. I don't blame them for doing things we cannot.

If they don't have access to internal variables, they'll be hopeless as ever. Except the CPU in SSB64 Melee and didn't feel it had to cheat in order to win.

Well, it was more of a challenge. If you can take down a skilled player AND a cheater, you're good.
But the CPUs seemed so easy since I started playing the game. At least the Melee ines were hard.
EDIT: Whoops! That was wierd, how could the word "least" be turned into lwata?

EDIT: Whoops! That was wierd, how could the word "least" be turned into lwata? The Melee ones were hard at the first glance. If you play all 3 games long enough, none of these computer opponents are difficult to beat. "least" has l, a and t. "Iwata" has I, a and t. "I" and "l" do not look different at all if you use Tahoma as your browser's font. If they don't have access to internal variables, they'll be hopeless as ever. Except the CPU in SSB64 Melee and didn't feel it had to cheat in order to win. If you mean multiplayer, I think that's fine. Like I said before, just be a coward, avoid their attacks and look for chances to strike back. It works most of the time. And they have a horrible trait of suiciding. You can just lure them to self-destruct if you like. Single player battles involve both high-level opponents AND the player having a low handicap. Not being able to beat them is normal.
