And we all love the game Super Mario Bros., right? But...

Dunno about you lot, but I thought SMB The Movie kicked ass ;D
I'm gonna go see it tomorrow with my brother. I'm getting paid to do it, it's part of my job, so whether its bad or not doesn't really break my ass. I'd like to see Deadpool and I hope he'll be made funny (he probably won't, but I can dream), but if not...well, it's better than retail. That's all I got to say about that.

I still can't get over the goof during the car chase where they use their brakes, and then 5 minutes later they claim the car has no brakes (hence why they stop using bits of string).
I noticed it the first time I watched it, and it grates to this day. Ruined a perfectly stupid movie!

I never understood what the hell was up with the cars in Dinohattan. What were they powered by? Why did they have all that junk built on them?

They were all glorified bumper cars, duh ;D that should answer all of your questions.
Also, Dinhattan is a much more eccentric culture than Manhattan.
Also, it's a movie. XD

Okay, so I saw Wolverine a few days later than I figured, but here's my base opinion:
It wasn't bad. It wasn't good, either, but I still enjoyed it. As a Gambit fan, I went home pleased as punch; as a Deadpool fan, I went home satisfied. Also, cameo by Patrick Stewart ftw.
So far as Deadpool is concerned, I found him more "Deadpoolish" before actually becoming Deadpool; when he was just Wade Wilson, he had the comedic, never-stop-talking thing going on, and he was pretty bad-ass with the swords. When I found out that he'd had his mouth grafted shut as part of the Deadpool-becoming process, I didn't wholly care for it, since incessant chatter is part of the whole schtick, but he still was a complete badass in a fight. They recaptured most of his powers; mutant healing factor, his ability to teleport (in the comics, he did this using a gadget rather than under his own ability), and his outright skill with bladed weapons, added into a couple new ones...namely, eye-beams. While Deadpool has never had eye-beams in the comics, XMO:W made it work pretty well for him, even scarring his face further as it happened.
While his outright combative awesomeness was, well, awesome, I still felt kinda disappointed by it, and was a little bummed when he "died" after Wolverine decapitated him...but then that last twenty seconds of secret ending really made my day. Deadpool, reaching for his own head in the rubble, looks directly at the viewers, the skin grafted over his mouth torn; he grins, and says, "Shh..." before the screen darkened.
I get the feeling that all the speculation of a Deadpool movie may come to pass after this, so let's see what comes of it.

BUMP!
Well, I finally saw XMO:W with a some people from my uni dorm. I thought it was a pretty good (action) movie.
I waited until after the credits for the whole "Deadpool" moment but they didn't show here. All they showed was a clip with Wolverine at a bar taking alcohol shots to help him "remember."

Huh, that's a shame. The secret Deadpool ending was awesome.
Also, I've come to understand why they grafted his mouth shut; if they hadn't, then it would have taken away from the fact that it was a Wolverine movie. Deadpool's presence was more to generate interest for his upcoming film - which will (try to) establish him as one of Marvel's heavy hitters, so any misgivings I had for what they did to him in Wolverine are gone nao. ;D

Well, it's generally par for the course for other mutants to be visibly reduced so Hugh Jackman can have more screen time. There's no real reason why the first three X-Men movies weren't named Wolverine too.
