This just in from Smash Bros Dojo, the current service that accepts user-generated snapshots, stage designs, and replay data will no longer be available after June 30. (data won't be sent in).But UG data will still be distributed after that date. (data will be still be sent out).Ironically June 30th is just a few days after the 1st year anniversary for SSBB PAL release.

Interesting. Could this be hinting at DLC? Trying not to grasp at straws here, but that is the only thing I could see them sending out over the wire.

More like they received enough pictures and levels to distribute for another 10+ years and they're stopping the incoming data because it's rather pointless now.

Yeah, 8Bit is on the ball here. Thats the only realistic reason they'd stop the incoming while maintaining the outgoing at the same time; aside from the fact that a first/second-party Nintendo game receiving DLC is a hilariously unrealistic concept (though I won't deny how awesome it'd be!), making DLC is a lot more labor-intensive than just distributing something they have more than enough to supply the users with free of cost.
If that even makes sense.

...Whatever. The service doesn't have good data anyway.
You see screencaps and stages at that Brawl Snapshots website, world records are found everywhere in video sites like YT and Nico - heck, you can't even SAVE HRCs that are too awesome.
For the Japanese version, officially-distributed custom stages are often uninteresting, consisting of some weird Japanese text and emote or some not-even-similar imitation of objects or game scenes. The only decent thing about online Brawl is that we get to play online. And in that, only With Friends in good.
In short, screw the whole online idea, sans in-group interactions.
