In the first of the cameo board's mini-features into getting new cameos online, please can you point out any missing cameos of the Donkey Kong Series in the list below:

Mario / Donkey Kong Cameos
Pre-1985 cameos of characters from Mario and Donkey Kong.

Tennis (Famicom 1984)
Mario appears as the umpire.

Pinball (Famicom 1984)
Mario and Pauline appear on the bonus table.

Punch-Out!! / Super Punch-Out!! (Arcade 1984)
Mario, Luigi, Donkey Kong and DK Junior appear in the crowd at the ringside.

Family BASIC (Famicom 1984)
In BG GRAPHIC mode, various background sprites from Donkey Kong, Donkey Kong Jr. and Mario Bros. appear.
GAME 0 features Mario and Pauline.
GAME 1 features the Penguin from Pinball escaping Sidesteppers from Mario Bros.
GAME 2 features Mario running around on custom levels.
GAME 3 features fireballs from Donkey Kong and Fighter Flies from Mario Bros.

Donkey Kong (Classic) Cameos
Donkey Kong cameos pre-DKC, plus cameos specifically of the old arcade games.

Donkey Kong Jr. appears in the crowd.

Tetris (NES 1989)
When you complete the B-Mode game on speed 9, height 5 you watch a scene featuring a lineup of Nintendo characters playing instruments. Donkey Kong is playing the drums.

F-1 Race (Game Boy 1990)
Donkey Kong appears to cheer you on before Course 9. He appears again during the credits.

Super Mario All-Stars (Super Famicom 1993)
In Super Mario Bros. 3, the king of World 4 has been transformed into Donkey Kong Jr. This has changed from the original game, where the king of World 4 was transformed into a dinosaur.

EarthBound (Super Famicom 1994)
In Onett's video arcade, one of the arcade machines shows a miniature version of Donkey Kong's first stage.

Kirby Super Star (Super Famicom 1996)
Kong's Barrel is one of the treasures available in The Great Cave Offensive.

Game Boy Camera (Game Boy 1998)
The Show Menu is decorated with artwork from the Donkey Kong Jr. arcade machine, including Snapjaws and a grinning Donkey Kong.
In the US version, an odd-looking Donkey Kong stamp is available.
B-Album photo B29 is artwork of Mario and Donkey Kong Jr. as they appeared on the Famicom version boxart.

Pokemon Stadium 2 (Nintendo 64 2000)
In My Room mode, use the NES and one of the games that appears on the TV is the original Donkey Kong.

Animal Crossing (Nintendo 64 / Gamecube 2001)
You can collect and play the NES versions of Donkey Kong, Donkey Kong Jr., Donkey Kong 3 and Donkey Kong Jr. Math.
The gorilla characters look a lot like Donkey Kong.
One of the e-Reader shirt designs is "Jumpman Mario Design".

WarioWare Inc.
One of 9-Volt's Nintendo microgames is based on the original Donkey Kong. Press A to jump over the barrels.

WarioWare: Twisted!
One of 9-Volt's Nintendo microgames is based on Donkey Kong Jr. Climb to the top of the chains to free Donkey Kong.
Another is based on Donkey Kong 3. Rotate the GBA to shoot Donkey Kong to the top of the screen.

WarioWare: Touched!
One of 9-Volt's Nintendo microgames is based on Donkey Kong 3. Blow into the microphone to push DK to the top of the vines.

Tetris DS
Push Mode features a Donkey Kong background and remix of the 25m music.
In Marathon Mode, Donkey Kong becomes the background theme at level 120-129.
Donkey Kong and Mario appear on the title screen.

WarioWare: Smooth Moves
One of 9-Volt's Nintendo microgames is "Opening Night", where you must compose a piece of music, played by NES sprites. The sprites include Mario and Donkey Kong from the original Donkey Kong (Luigi is a recoloured Mario sprite, despite not appearing in Donkey Kong). The music includes the Stage Start theme from Donkey Kong.

Goldeneye 007 (Nintendo 64 1997)
The first unlocked cheat is DK Mode. It gives characters big heads and long arms like a gorilla.

Banjo-Kazooie (Nintendo 64 1998)
A beaver called Gnawty appears in Click Clock Wood, based on the Gnawty beavers from Donkey Kong Country.
One of the wrong answers to "In Mumbo's Mountain you don't know, what does that big gorilla throw?" is "Barrels".

Picross NP vol.8 (Super Famicom 2000)
All of the Character Mode puzzles are based on characters from Donkey Kong Country, including: DK Barrel, Squawks, Banana, Winky, Funky Kong, Cranky Kong, Diddy Kong, Candy Kong, Expresso, Enguarde, Donkey Kong and Rambi.

Banjo-Tooie (Nintendo 64 2000)
Bottles' son Speccy is holding a DK doll.
In Grunty Industries Workers Quarters, the fridge magnets include the "DK" logo.

No you don't. Rotating the GBA will make Stanley move, but you have to press A to shoot.

Kirby Superstar Ultra had a modified DK Barrel that has the letters "DK" on them. Does that count as a modern DK cameo?

It's the DK Barrel used for your partner in the DKC games so yes. But it basically had to be done to keep the treasures fresh, since the DK Barrel is associated with DK over just plain barrels now, at least more than before.

And to be specific, the micro game with DKC is DKC2 and involves Zingers and Bramble Blast/Scramble. Yay!

Actually, I need someone to put together (or point me towards) a comprehensive list of the cameo microgames in WarioWare D.I.Y. (obviously not including ones made by fans).

I started this yesterday, but I might actually just put the cameos back (tidied up and rewritten) where they were before. After all, they were the only reason some people clicked on certain games.

I also started having problems with cameos of staff or toys, etc., which don't have pages yet, and probably won't at any point soon. The old way suddenly seems like the right way to do it.

Actually, now that remakes are kept on the same page as the original, the cameos for those games will be merged. So Kirby Super Star Ultra will share the Kirby Super Star cameo.

I will, of course, mention whether the cameos appear in only one or both games.

(On that note... DS screenshots are on their way!)

Errr... what? You mean in the Mario Kart series?

No. Playable Donkey Kong appearances in Mario spinoffs do not count as cameos. Or any Mario Party (as I'm aware DK stopped being playable halfway through the series for some reason).

No, that's just a texture that happens to look a bit like a face. Like seeing Osama in smoke clouds or Jesus in a potato. Our brains are wired to see faces, even where there are none.

Exactly. I couldn't see it at all until that video circled it, and even then I'm seeing more of a King Kong face than anything else.
