This is not necessarily Nintendo-related, but interesting nonetheless. In an interview with CVG, EA Montreal Vice President Alan Tuscan teases that certain classic EA franchises may return: "I am certain that some of them will come back. I won't be able to tell you which one," said Tuscan.
"Look at Ubisoft and what they did with Prince of Persia - in my memory one of the best exercises in taking a beloved franchise and making something really special out of it." He then goes on the mention Road Rash. The reason I bring it up is because I was a big Wing Commander fan, and that franchise is currently owned by EA. Plus, according to this article at Wing Commander fan site wcnews.com, EA recently took out trademarks for Wing Commander, Road Rash, Populous, and Theme Park. Even more interesting, wcnews.com recently celebrated its 11th anniversary, and posted this message from original Wing Commander creator Chris Roberts (who hasn't worked at Origin/EA since 1995). At the end, he states: It’s been a while since I’ve actively participated in the universe but I still check out WC News to see what everyone is doing. Wing Commander is very dear to my heart. And it is something that I feel l haven’t finished with yet. So watch this space! Almost sounds like a tease. Could EA be working with Chris Roberts to create a new Wing Commander? A fan can dream.

Theme Park and Road Rash are both games I loved growing up. Road Rash would probably just be another generic racer if they brought it back, but I wouldn't mind seeing a new Theme Park.

They just need to take Populous: The Beginning, add an updated online mode and sell it for 15+/- bucks. I'd buy it. Though mainly because my computer refuses to install my old copy for some stupid reason

I tried to play Theme Park World, because hearing about this had gotten me all nostalgic, but apparently it's not compatible with Windows XP. So now I'm even more hopeful for a new one!
