I'm thinking of speedrunning (keyword: THINKING) recently. I don't think I'm good at playing games quickly, but I'm somewhat interested in giving Meta Knightmare Ultra a try (because it's easy to play it fast without much thinking). The obvious issue? It's a DS game. Plus I don't know what should I do to even appeal to speedrunning communities. SDA seems to have started something called casual speedrunning, and I'm a little interested. Oh, and I have a normal, 640*480 camera (same resolution as Nintendo DSi). I don't even have a DV camera. Qualities would be similar to my YouTube account.

The whole point of speedrunning is to constantly improve your time. You just have to keep playing and recording over and over until you're happy with the result.
I am sure this is a time-consuming exercise though. And you usually need to take advantage of exploits.
The only one that I've ever enjoyed is seeing how fast I can beat Super Mario World. I've got it down to 13 minutes (using the Star Road, of course). Once I cleared all of the exits in the game in under 2 hours as well.

Beaten Meta Knightmare Ultra the second time at 42 minutes. Made me think my previous record of 39"38'50 (not single segment) not special at all.
I think I'll give up now; especially since capturing DS games isn't easy.
