I am not sure if this has been mentioned yet, but Sweet Paradise in Jungle Beat has Nintendo logos in the Jell-O at certain points.
'bout a minute in.

I may add that one, but Nintendo logos show up in a LOT of places.

Couldn't remember if you counted the Nintendo logo or not, so I just decided to post it anyways. Guess that worked out.

OK, we all know about the plethora of Nintendo cameos in Pikmin 2. But I just noticed that three treasures that can be linked to Gunpei Yokoi are all found in the same dungeon- the FDD floppy, the Love Detector and the Game & Watch area ll found in the Hole of Beasts. Coincidence?
The Nintendo Ace card and the NES d-pad are also found there.

So, I picked up Wind Waker at my now-local GameStop, and I'm already at Windfall Island. More importantly, I just left the cafe at the time of this writing. After transliterating a board that caught my interest from Hylian to Romaji, I translated the Romaji to English. And guess what? It was a specials board. It read as follows.
-Today's Specials- Lon Lon Milk - 150 Deku Nut Cake - 300 Zora Coffee - 150
Deku Nut, by the way, IS the correct English translation for the cake. It says "Deku no Mi," or "Deku's Nut."
I CONTRIBUTED YAY.

That's pretty cool. With the Phantom Ganon swords as well, I'm wondering if all the Hylian text in the game contains neat little references...

Actually, I was intending to do that.
And now that I know that there's such a thing as Deku Nut Cake, I must make it.

Haha, it should contain Pop Rocks, for that authentic flashbang feel

I was thinking the exact same thing. =D
In other news, nothing. Too much Hylian talky talky and not enough Hylian writey writey in my voyages across the Great Sea, so all I get is boring plot-talk and not the least amount of cameo. Maybe the signs have something interesting to say.

I guess it technically doesn't qualify as a cameo, but Princess Pitts from Chibi Robo is a definite take on Princess Peach.

Can't get the archive up to check this, but Sirena Beach is allegedgly designed to look like a Gamecube controller. Thanks to SomethingAwful for this factoid.

That one was already on the site. I think it was revealed in a Nintendo Power game map or something.

Okay this is an interesting cameo. Some of you may have heard/seen of microscopic "chip art" done on microchips and such. In the GCN there is one of the Nintendo logo with a dolphin over it. (for those that don't know the codename for GCN was "project dophin" which resulted in a abundance of "dolphin cameos" to appear around the late N64-GCN era). Source.

Japanese version of 1080 Avalanche (1080 Silver Storm) have a Famicom controller as one of the secret boards instead of the NES one.
Starting at 1:07.
I guess it's worth mentioning on the site.

I thought that may be the case, and this is the first confirmation of it, so thank you.
Although what's the deal with the pixellation effect? I don't remember that happening with the NES Controller board! And it's not a video effect as the score and all that stay clear. Weird!
