www.nintendolife.com/news/2009/10/nintendo_shows_off_its_history_at_kyoto_cross_media_eventThis weekend the Kyoto Cross Media Experience 2009 took place in - you guessed it - Kyoto, Japan. Nintendo was in attendance and had plenty of goodies for avid gamers to ogle at.
As well as showing off new games for the Wii and DS, the video game veteran had a massive display which illustrated the company's long and proud gaming history. Machines on show included the Famicom, Game Boy, Super Famicom and Game Boy Advance.
There's a massive photo gallery with images from the event here. Be sure to check it out!

Too bad there aren't any arcade cabinets nor the Color TV Game series.

Nice to see they had a Satellaview on display.
It's interesting to see that not all Nintendo published games are on display. Like Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles GCN and that NBA game are missing, but Baten Kaitos and Banjo Kazooie are there.

Interesting artwork . . . Reminds me of Mario art from the 90's.

I think it goes in line with other more recent 2D artwork, most notably Mario Party Advance. You can find much better versions of the first two at Mario Wiki: MarioPeachRickshaw sceneI know the third one is bad quality, I tried my best to crop it from the photo in the big gallery. Anyway, I really like the art (all three).

I would love to visit the Nintendo History museum. Its too bad Nintendo doesn't support these wonderful games and consoles anymore. It doesn't matter how old they're stuff is, I enjoy it.
