Own up, everybody has at least one...
I'm talking about games that are seen as "crappy" by everybody (sometimes including youself), but that you've played and enjoyed more than you should! I know I've had a few...
For example, I recently downloaded Viking Invasion on DSiware; Graphics and Sound: Crappy Gameplay: Repetitive Story: Crappy Enjoyment Levels: Surprisingly high!
So please share! Do you enjoy slumming it occasionally?

Mario Power Tennis (the GC one), I guess qualifies as my video gaming guilty pleasure (although I can only stand playing it for about 30 minutes at a time).

Is Mario Power Tennis truly bad, though? I understand if it didn't sync up with you, but I don't think it was universally panned as a bad game.
I suppose Mappyland for the NES would count? For some reason I like that game, but it's not anything spectacular.

Half of the Fire Emblem series. Putting it to an objective view, that thing's highly unbalanced with parameters not set properly, the story has quite a lot of loopholes in it, and it's almost impossible to use certain units. I don't even know why I'll like that thing. Perhaps because of the fact that I usually play as an invincible army that cuts everything in the way in non-Kaga FE. EDIT - Oh, and also:

It's a difficult question to answer, as the vast majority of the games that I play are Nintendo games, and only a tiny percentage of those have received bad press or worse... no press at all. The quality is high enough for me to enjoy each on their own terms and in the wider gaming landscape without thinking "Oh dear, I'm in the minority on this one..." But at my age, you could say that Pokemon is a guilty pleasure.

Wanna hear a bad one? Mario Party games. I grew out of it.

Would the various Lego games count here? Everything about them is 'bad'... but they're oh so good. Particularly the Star wars ones.

I dunno, Dancepants, the LEGO games are actually pretty cool and they tend to be well-received. I haven't even gone near LEGO Indy and LEGO Rock Band isn't really on my agenda, and LEGO Star Wars: The Complete Saga has taught me that I need to wait on LEGO Harry Potter until all seven years are compiled into one game.
Also, LEGO Batman is one of the only two XBox 360 titles I've completed to 100%, the other being Banjo-Kazooie.
Let's see, guilty pleasure games...Pokemon Snap? I don't know how the majority views that game. Also, from my understanding, Megaman II for the Gameboy has mostly been panned, but it was the first Megaman game I'd ever beaten, so it has a special place in my heart.
As for guilty pleasures in general, while I have mostly outgrown Linkin Park when I decided being goth-emo was a joke, and I have since moved onto much better bands, there are still a couple of LP songs I keep around on my hard drive...>_>

Wanna hear a bad one? Mario Party games. I grew out of it. Mario Party is good or bad depending on the game. Personally, I think MP8 is horrible because its user interface is made of fail. On the other hand, 7 is great.

I still say Mario Party 1,2 and 3 reign supreme, while the rest of them have more flaws than perks. About a month ago I was addicted to Konami Wai Wai World. The game suffers from quite a few flaws, mainly related to being unfairly difficult, yet for some reason I felt compelled to play it.

I have a butt load of terrible old PC games from my childhood that I am somehow able to enjoy to this day.
Hell, literally right before I logged in just now, I was playing the Star Wars: Episode I movie tie-in game. Yeah.

Rakuga Kids I guess? It's a 2d fighting game for N64. Unbalanced, slow and just casual in general.
Thing is I'm casual as hell when it comes to classic fighters, because of the usual complicated special move lists I won't bother memorizing.
Special moves are easy in RK however, just press R forward/backward/defend to release a super move and all projectile attacks are done the same Hadouken way. None of that walk backwards for 2 seconds just to fire a lousy sonic boom.
Also the game has some pretty sweet animation for it's goofy cast of fighters, one which is a bear that's part tank and can shoot tiny bear shaped missles out of it's head.

I've been playing Final Fantasy games. There's nothing that makes me more ashamed of myself.

What a coincidence, this past weekend I tried out FF4, FF5 and Chrono Trigger. I like 'em all.
