That is true, but this was back in the days of subpar translation. Doku = Doc makes sense in that context.

Yeah, it does. That and Cr/lash Man are two of the most forgivable mistranslations I've seen.

Oh, yes. I did see a few episodes on YouTube...complete abomination.
Kid Icarus, Mega Man, and Mother Brain have already been covered...and then there's two others:

Anyway, the whole series to me looked like the creators never actually played video games.
