Sports and party games seem good for obscure Nintendo characters. Captain Rainbow was a good start but most of the obscure characters were Japan-only or too obscure. How about starting out with the less obscure characters like Balloon Fighter and Bubbles before introducing us to very obscure characters like, I don't know, the protagonists from Marvellous? I would love to see a Captain Rainbow kart game featuring the cast from his game but this time, add the more familiar obscure characters like Donkey Kong Jr., Old Man (original Zelda), Kris (Pokemon Crystal), and Duck Hunt Dog, to name a few. Even better, a Captain Rainbow fighting game. That way, we have Smash Bros. for the well-known Nintendo characters and Captain Rainbow for the obscure Nintendo characters.

I think it would be more productive to just put the obscure characters in Smash Bros. In case you hadn't noticed, none of Nintendo's most die-hard fans particularly LIKE party games, and I doubt Captain Rainbow is coming back any time soon.

Me too. That would take some time from Skip. But really...Captain Rainbow as a franchise that uses Nintendo's obscure characters- I'm pretty sure THAT will happen!!!
I thought also that kart-game could be an overused idea, but if ya think it more with the obscure characters, maybe it can be totally new. (After all, who know where the stages, items or characters come from? ) (-ll-)
