Actually I'm with kirbychu on this one. It's all about reproductive organs. Just because it acts like a girl doesn't mean it's automatically female. If the robots are anything like they are in the real world, they're genderless machines no matter how many tits you add on it.
If they aren't and robots have oily robot sex to make little robot children, well I'm glad Sigma nuked the shit out of Megaman's world.

Indeed. Though I stand by what I said, my first post was originally more a joke than anything.  And now I'm going to respond to this post, because I didn't have the energy earlier... First of all, Ditto trumps all when it comes to Pokemon-breeding arguments. We humans may not have any clue as to how Magnemite have kids, and it's possible not even they know, but Ditto seems to, which implies there is gender in the mechanical Pokemon somewhere. No it doesn't. It implies asexual reproduction. The Pokémon are still genderless. As robots, they could reproduce asexually by, y'know... building other robots. But that would still leave them genderless. Third off, we have no evidence that Dr. Light DIDN'T make them sexual. Remember, they're Androids. How far did Dr. Light go? No one can be sure. And so, once again, I bring back my point: What's Mario? We haven't seen his nuts, how do we know he's not a female? By the logic that Mega Man characters, who have no discernable genitalia, are all nonsexual, we're brought back to the capacity to question the gender of even organic characters since we haven't seen anything down below on them, either. Shrikeswind, I'm afraid this part of the post is a new level of lunacy.  If Dr. Light didn't build any of his robots to have free will, why would he build them with the ability to have sex? Is he that much of a fucked up pervert? And if the answer is yes, then I don't think I want to play Mega Man any more. And they're Androids? Since when? I've only ever seen them referred to as robots. I'm going to say it again: this is not about fictional characters. It's about... ROBOTS! Mario is male because he is a male human. Humans are not fictional, and non-fictional humans have gender. Robots are also not fictional, and non-fictional robots do NOT have gender. You can stick as many realistic jiggling boobs and cute asian faces on them as you want, but what you have, essentially, is a vending machine in drag. Not a girl. |

To keep this thread from being shot out of a cannon into Hell, I'm going to reply in PM. Meanwhile, I'll continue coming by looking for news on MM10 and commenting on random crap. But this debate on robotic sexual capacity is rapidly becoming unfunnier and unfunnier and is just starting to feel like every response is RAGE.
Also, Sheep Man is a sheep. I wonder if he goes baa.

And yes, it is starting to feel like RAGEOMANIA. Kinda like when it feels like rain when it's all humid out, even though you don't actually feel the drops.
Oh, and androids are humanoid robots. I forgot to mention it in my PM, but yeah, that's why I say android there.

Need I remind all of you that this is MEGA MAN we're talking about. Realistic rules about robots don't necessarily apply here. Saying that robots don't have genders as an explanation for why people shouldn't care that we didn't get another female robot master is just as dumb as raising a stink over the fact that we didn't get another female robot master. In other words, everyone loses. |
