Meh, I've been sitting in the sidelines, but I'm gonna throw this out. The third character is Roll, no doubt about it. In MegaMan Powered Up, you played as Mega, MegaMan, Roll, Protoman, and all the bosses. In this game, MegaMan and Protoman are the only released playable characters, and they are also the only similar characters this game has with Powered Up (excluding Mega, because he was basically Roll with no weapons.). Roll was a special character in Powered Up meant to make the game harder (she fought close range with a broom and other downloadable weapons) so I have no doubt that she'll be playable in this game. On the other hand, Parrot brought up Arthur, and Powered Up had a ton of Ghosts and Goblins stuff in it, so....whatever. Just want to point out, though, that Roll's weapon downloads were all cosmetic and fit with whatever costume theme she received that month. The fish is my favorite, I think. ;D |

At times when I've gone through that level, I was wondering what was up with that. This even happens with Shade Man in the arcade game, Mega Man: The Power Battle. I'm not sure if it's done by a code or not, but whatever it is and how I got to hearing it, what do you press to hear it there? Or maybe it just happens randomly? |

...it's Bass. How is that not obvious? He was rumored for 9 as DLC, he's going to be in 10 as DLC. Done.

Well...because Roll has been a playable character in more games than Bass. She's also been playable in the two Marvel vs Capcom's as well as Tatsunoko vs Capcom, so she does have a higher chance of appearing.
But hey, watch it turn out to be Cutman back from the grave and trying to prove something to Megaman.

I don't think that having more playable appearances is what determines a character getting that role again. If so, then this pretty much screws the other character out of it for good, which wouldn't be really fair.

Also, doesn't Roll have a major role in this game? She turns evil (or Maverick) and Mega Man needs to find a cure.
Though, Bass still does have a good chance of appearing...really, it's just between those two.

Well, I don't know if she turns Maverick. She just contracts the disease, and Mega Man goes out to find a cure. It'd be a fascinating plot twist if she did, though.

I doubt she would become a Maverick from it.
But even if she did, then this could possibly double as a reasonable transition into the X series?

Well, speculation is that this game will lead into X, considering the game takes place like a year or so after Light built X, and the game artwork shows Mega Man and Proto Man looking like X and Zero.

...Though he looks really retarded with that helmet. Is he trying to fly with that thing or something?
Anyway the rumours were among others that the third character would be Bass via DLC and that this game would NOT connect the stories of Megaman classic and X. Sure it's not confirmed or anything, but I wouldn't get those hopes up too much just in case.

I'm not really putting any weight behind those rumors...I just think Bass is gonna be that third character. XD
As for connecting Classic to X...just, fucking stop. XD Classic games have all the story of a roll of paper towels.
