(Was going to put this in Comptempory Nintendo forum but CING is 3rd party). Looks like Japanese developer CING (Another Code, Hotel Dusk, Little Kings Story) is filing for bankruptcy. NeoGAF source.

I wonder if it's still possible for Nintendo divisions outside of Japan to release CING's last video game, Last Window: Mayonaka no Yakusoku?

Europe's confirmed Last Window for an August release, so I doubt it'll suddenly be canceled because CiNG went bankrupt.
Anyway, this is a horrible loss for our industry. CiNG made so many quality titles in such a short span...they will be missed. I'll be tracking down Little King's Story even harder than before, and will buy Again when it comes out on March 30th. Least I can do. If NoA chooses to ignore Last Window, I'll import it. I've never imported, but I WILL for the sequel for one of the best games I've experienced.

Very, very sad indeed. I've hardly seen any video games with stories that are as interesting and intriguing as those of the Another Code and Hotel Dusk series, and I'd be really dejected if Ashley's and Kyle's stories just stopped. I hope for Cing that it goes well at the end. But whatever appears to Cing, Nintendo is the owner of the two said IPs. Europe's confirmed Last Window for an August release, so I doubt it'll suddenly be canceled because CiNG went bankrupt. Where did you find this info? So far, I only read that the name was trademarked in Europe, but not when it is going to be released.

Well, I saw it somewhere (either Joystiq or Nintendo life) this morning, but both articles don't say such a thing now, so I'll retract that statement. Sorry.

This is very sad, I thought CiNG was a great developer in Japan.

Because Nintendo published a load of Cing games and seems to own the publishing rights to Another Code and Hotel Dusk, you should totally have put this in the Contemporary Nintendo forum.
Adventure games don't do well, even the ones that seem to do well don't do well! They hit launch (in Japan and EU anyway) with Another Code which gave them more funding, but rather than sticking to the DS format they poured too much money into the Wii, and nothing sold well... even for adventure games.
Still, I hope Nintendo snatches up some talent from that pool. It would be sad if the Hotel Dusk line ends here... Although I wouldn't miss Ashley Robbins so much. Whiney emo bitch!

I say she's a whiney emo in Another Code R: Journey To The Lost Memories- (-''-) In DS she was less angsty. (-ll-)
