King Drool is back at his ugliest glory. And looks like this game seems to has that Bonk action we all know, It's little shadowed by the LittleBig Planet-esque floatiness of the game as it seems.
And love to see Chikkuns/Hatchets back in action, too! Cuz no Bonk-game is complete without them. (-lvl-)b

Hudson has canceled its 3DS titles for Bonk, Bomberman and Omega Five. Additionally, according to 1up, and separate Bonk title for PS3 was also canceled. If that's what I think it was, then it sounds like Brink of Extinction got canned.

Aye, Siliconera confirmed that. Source.

Whoa. I wonder what's the reason behind? Perhaps because of Konami's recent reorganisation?

Konami's words are a little too vague for comfort. Plus, Brink of Extinction seems to have been in development hell anyway. And the fact that Siliconera listed it as only a PS3/360 title makes me wonder if it is/was still planned for the Wii (which was the original target platform).
Oh well. No use being too disappointed in a game that never had a firm release date to begin with.

Konami though shouldn't kill Hudson's game franchises slowly beginning with this... (-ll;-)
I'll still keep my hopes up.

I don't think Konami will kill any successful franchises, but they may feel inclined to kill any in-progress projects and start from scratch. New management tends to do that.

Then why this and this (page 11) happened? Wouldn't surprise me to see existing franchises to die from acquisitions. Software companies aren't the only ones who do that.

Brink of Extinction officially canceled for WiiWare. No word on other platforms. EDIT: Pi Studios, the developer of Brink of Extinction, has also closed shop.

Konami taking this game out of list and even few 3DS titles...
I wonder if Hudson Soft will ever be the same again? (Just wish it doesn't die away like Jaleco did)

Jaleco hasn't really died away, they just left the video game industry. It seems they still supply games to the Virtual Console, however. And apparently Pi Studios is still in business, but Brink of Extinction is still likely vaporware.

Bonk: Brink of Extinction may be dead, but the soundtrack has been made available for online streaming. You can listen to it (and weep) here.
