Super Mario Kart MedleyNo idea where this one's from. Worth noting that the Japanese Great Concert! Band Brothers DX (the one this game is based on) doesn't really have that much in the way of cameos - so this may be an all-new cameo track. Japanese Wikipedia says that a Super Mario Kart Medley is available for download for Band Brothers DX. It's probably this one. While the missing cameo songs might be downloadable for the European release.

Hmm, it's been a while since I looked at the HUUUUGE list of DLC for Band Brothers DX. I'll have to check it again.

The Jam with the Band site has launched. It allows to view the list of songs currently available for download. I haven't taken a closer look yet.

These are for the European version, right? If so, that's a damn good list. ANYTHING that uses the Ballad of the Wind Fish gets points from me.

Good grief, with the lack of advertising and forum posts telling of stores with no knowledge of this game's existence, I'm actually beginning to think NoE wants it to flop. It's so bad that absolutely nobody has attempted to make a patch for the ROM to run on flashcards! (There's anti-piracy code that Band Bros. DX didn't have.)
[tinfoilhat] NCL wants NoA and NoE to release this, but they don't because it's a two year old music game, and Kotick managed to burst the bubble in his quest for the elusive Money Vault. So, while Reggie stalls, the collective heads of each European branch try to make a release with as little noise as possible in an attempt to get Iwata off their backs. [/tinfoilhat]
By the time all is said and done, the number of user-submitted songs on the server probably won't exceed 100.
...Or it could luck out through word-of-mouth like Layton.

At Amazon.co.uk, the price of Jam with the Band dropped to EIGHT Pounds. Looks like the game bombed hard. It's nice that NoE releases niche titles (not niche in Japan, but over here), but why don't they market their stuff? Of course, the low Euro sales figures make it rather unlikely that the game will ever be released in the Americas. I guess Disaster and Another Code: R had the same fate... Also, Iwata Asks.

Forget marketing it... stocking it would be a good start. I have not once seen this game in the shops, and I have been keeping my eye out for it since it launched.

Forget marketing it... stocking it would be a good start. I have not once seen this game in the shops, and I have been keeping my eye out for it since it launched. From what I've heard, you pretty much have to order it online. I also actually doubt they didn't do it on purpose. On top of that, it appears that right now songs from before last week cannot be downloaded. Considering the rate of submissions, in the likely case that the problem is not resolved, then (new) original copies will have pretty much lost all the value they had against pirated ones.
