Howy. This is unbelievable. (-lwl-) Jam With The Band /Daigasso Band Brothers gets a release outside of Japan finally!I'm so excited! This really might tell us that maybe some very good titles don't stay Planned-once-for-international-release-was-toned-forgotten-to-Japan-only that easily! Good Job Barbara! We don't know which of the titles it is- But I wish it's DX: it seems to fit to these times now. (-lwl-)b EDIT: It's DX, celebrate! and jam!

I doubt they'd release the first one at this late stage. Even the second one's been out in Japan for nearly 2 years.

I hoping the naming situation might be like what happened with EarthBound. Mother 1 gets EB name for NA release but doesn't get released, then EB name is recycled for Mother 2.

I hope you can actually delete songs with that.
In the Japanese version, the downloaded songs cannot be deleted (I think you still can reset the whole data, but individual songs cannot be removed), limiting your downloads to be 100.
Also, I hope it contains songs from the original and the expansion cartridge. The DX version has no game music whatsoever.

What a transition from GBC game to Japan-only DS to magic tricks to... European release. Well, figures the series would be doomed to never be known in the world that matters Still waiting for a better Wii Music using these characters

"Onigashima Medley"? That's... something.
I hope the Zelda and Mario medleys aren't direct copies from the original Band Brothers. New games were released since hen, you know.

I expect they will be direct copies from the first Band Brothers, as the second didn't actually feature any cameo songs right off the bat (although some could be downloaded).
It's about time this series left Japan!

Rating.. Dunno, something like EBA? Themes just understanded by teens?
Wee, Walking On Sunshine! I'll try that first, that's for sure.
Onigashima Medley? So unexpected... but appreciated NOE. (-lwl-) Since here came very succesful updates done about the game...
Hmm, I wonder who will be Barbara's english voice actor for the Radio-parts. (Or was it Karaoke mode? )

Just want to point this out, but the song "Material Girl" has also appeared in Elite Beat Agents and Wii Music (there's also a few other songs that repeat in the games but MG appears in all 3.) Maybe Nintendo got a really long or cheap licencing deal with that song? Extending licencing song cameo! The Euro page also confirms the Wii Speaker channel will also be released outside of Japan and a picture of the box art (which is small).

Nice track list. I wonder what the other 24 preinstalled songs will be.
Very upbeat list, actually.

A little info on what I suspect are the cameo songs...
Four of the songs would appear to be from the original Great Concert! Band Brothers, released in Japan in 2004. We have lost the Kirby Medley, Pokemon Medley and Fire Emblem in the translation. Sad face!
F-Zero Medley Mute City, Big Blue.
NES Classics Medley Music from the NES versions of Mario Bros., Balloon Fight, Dr. Mario, Donkey Kong, Ice Climber, Wrecking Crew, Clu Clu Land and Excitebike.
Super Mario Medley Music from Super Mario Bros., Super Mario World, Super Mario Bros. 3, Super Mario Land, Super Mario Sunshine and Super Mario 64.
The Legend of Zelda Medley Main theme, Kakariko Village, Zelda's Lullaby, Saria's Song, main theme (again) and magic flute
Then there's the one that surprised everyone:
Onigashima Medley This will either be a new arrangement, or based on the Shin Onigashima song released on the Request Selection cart released in 2005.
Then there's this one...
Super Mario Kart Medley No idea where this one's from. Worth noting that the Japanese Great Concert! Band Brothers DX (the one this game is based on) doesn't really have that much in the way of cameos - so this may be an all-new cameo track.
And... Forellenquintett (NES) I suspect this is just the classical music in NES style. It doesn't look like it's actually been used in a Nintendo game. I may be wrong.
