At first glance, I'm wondering how Wii Party is such a game. It looks like just a catch-all sort of thing, with games that didn't fit in the themes of Sports or Fit. So, speculation time. What's the big deal with this game? I'm wondering if it will be a $20 game, with a $50 Wii Play-replacement remote bundle, since Play sales are down. Or is it a Vitality Sensor game? The phrase "compatibility check" and a mode called "living party" make me think that. And the images, one with a big globe, and another with a whole gob of Miis on a boat, make me wonder if there's an online component. And there appears to be a head-to-head Tetris-style puzzle game on that select screen. That would be cool.

I'm heard info from after E3 last year that the Vitality Sensor is being packed with a game called "Wii Relax" but maybe that plan has changed, and WP is what the game has become. In terms of online, what Nintendo really bloody needs right now is a Wii game that would motivate casual Wii owners to go play multiplayer online. Because most of those people don't seem to even realise (sadly) that the Wii can even go online. And there is rumor of a Wii game that is going use a universal friend code system. (Unless that was Monster Hunter Tri). It was a shame Wii Music didn't have better online sharing and 2 major Wii games, Wii Fit/Plus and Wii Sport Resort didn't have any online at all. It's like Nintendo doesn't want causals going online, even though they want more causals to go online. (more people purchasing from Wii Shop Channel would increase sales of game on there). In summary, possibly online multiplayer with less clunky FC's or Vitality Sensor (or both?)
