DS: How to recover deleted files?

Hello friends..
I was attempting to do something on my DS last night and accidentally lost all the data. This is my first DS, got it last month from Buy.com through www.dealrocker.com discount offer, so I don't have any knowledge about it. Just wondering is there any way to recover the lost data? I am ready to pay for it..

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

What model DS was it and what data did you lose?

I'm guessing it was downloaded DSi Ware software. If that's the case, then go back to the DSi Ware download store and see if it has kept a copy of your download history. If it has then your profile wasn't wiped and you can re-download all the software free of charge.

If your profile and everything has been wiped, you may have to contact Nintendo to find out if they will tranfer your existing profile to the "wiped" DS so you can re-download the files. Hopefully, there won't be a charge attached to this, but Nintendo are notorious buttholes when it comes to transferring profiles from one machine to another.

If you lost save data for a particular game, then I'm afraid it's gone.
