It's nearly that time again: E3 is just around the corner. Let's start posting the rumours, pre-opening photos and so on and then flood this topic with goodies when the show itself is on.
First question: What day and time is Nintendo's press conference? It usually starts an hour before I finish work, and the "live" web showings make me want to take half a day off work or something.

These things usually start late, so there's a slight chance I could race home and get there before it starts, or at worst miss the opening montage featuring such wonderful things as sales figures.
But I'll probably take half a day anyway. Next Tuesday it is!
As for rumours going around, I'll just add the one that's going around the forums now:
The 3DS has a new chip, and developers have likened it to the current generation of HD consoles. And we also caution you to take that with a pinch of salt.

The Ninty conference is on at like 4am here. I do enjoy watching them live - specifically to read people's reactions, but fuck getting up / staying up until then. 5.30 for MS's is more bareable since I'd probably be getting up at 7 for work anyway, but I'll probably skip that too.
EDIT: Wait, I misread the list. Nintendo's is like 2.30 here, MS's is like 4. Fuck both of those options, I like sleep.

9:00. I'll take it. I usually wake up around 7 anyway.
I'm not making any predictions this year. Doing so will only lead to disappointment.

I'm not predicting anything either. I'll watch the event, but will not have any expectations. Nintendo has promised too many cakes to me... EDIT: Wait, I misread the list. Nintendo's is like 2.30 here... That makes... +10:30. Wait, DST is in effect in where you live? I thought DST applies during summer...

Yeah, its probably 1.30 actually. We're half an hour 'behind' Melbourne/Sydney/Canberra/Brisbane(in winter), not in front, my bad again.

Time zones can be confusion, haha... I just wanted clarification in case I'll do such conversion again. List is updated.

It'll be noon around my time, too, but that's smack in the middle of my work day. I'll see about taking that time off and making up for it later in the week.
Anyway, I predict a mostly-boring Nintendo conference peppered with some awesomeness, pretty much like last year. We had a smorgzillion hours focusing on Wii Sports Resort, sales figures, and the Wii Vitality sensor, but then we got bombs dropped on us with Mario Galaxy 2, Mario & Luigi 3, and Metroid: Other M, so I'm not completely embittered by it.
I also predict Valve will unveil some details about the new Left 4 Dead 1 DLC and comic. Maybe even shed some light on the Engie update for TF2. >_> It'd be nice, at least.

I personally predict Zelda Wii (okay, that;s confirmed anyway), which will completely split the online fandom and cause flame wars across Zelda fan sites. I also predict another New Super Mario Bros game (think about it, the last two sold well, and Nintendo would be made to not continue), the 3DS being shown off (and people complaining Nintendo will die because of it) and some game in either the Star Fox or F-Zero series. And Pikmin 3.

Very true. But you know how Zelda Wii will likely massively shake up the Zelda formula and not just be the same style as Ocarina of Time/Wind Waker/Twilight Princess gameplay wise? Yeah, that will cause as big an uproar as the cel shading thing, especially the fact I hear they're changing the whole dungeon/overworld interaction design, might be adding flight of some kind and having a more sword focused style of combat according to the recent rumours. You know what hardcore gamers on forums are like with 'new ideas' and 'changes'.
