Devil World
Devil World 1984 - Famicom/NES - The first Nintendo game to be released in Europe but not North America (due to the potentially offensive religious iconography). - "Game Start" fanfare is an excerpt from Tchaikovsky's "The Nutcracker"
See Also... Squish (Game & Watch)
How to Play
- Controlling Tamagon - Stage 1, Stage 2 & Bonus Stage - Points & scoring (anyone know where I can find these?) - Enemies / Items
Cameos
Super Smash Bros. Melee Tamagon trophy (hidden in US version, removed in PAL version)
Tetris DS In Marathon lines 160-169 the theme changes to Devil World.
Super Smash Bros. Brawl Assist Trophy: Devil appears above the stage and forces it to move in the opposite direction to the direction he points. Sticker: Tamagon (artwork from original boxart)
Captain Rainbow The Devil appears as one of the characters on Mimin Island. He has sprite art from the game hanging on his wall. His wish is to become the #1 villain in hell.
Art Style: PiCTOBiTS Two of the sprite puzzles are based on Devil World, with another two puzzles available in the harder Dark Mode.

Maybe it would say so in the manual? Actually that's another thing to think about. Perhaps somewhere down the road we can find somebody who has manual scans for all these lesser known games so you can put them on the site. 'course I'm just suggesting things here. You don't really have to go about this immediately.

Did it? I didn't notice any censorship of the Devil World stage on my copy of Tetris DS. Is the US one different?

I'd like to know if it is any different in the Japanese version. I've not seen it without the removal of the crosses and the Devil.

OK, just to confirm, I reached that point in the Japanese version of the game, and there are no crosses or Devil in that one either. Oh yeah, and Devil World has been updated!

Fry, I'd like to point out that something is funky with the site layout. The text isn't centered and the white background won't appear.
I'm using Google Chrome to view it. Is it just me or does anyone else have this problem?

Hm... About Squish, Climber, and Boxing. Why not put them on the page for the games their based on? They aren't in the same series, true. But they are related, and none of them have any games in their series.
So a rare "Related Games" designation would be perfect for them
EDIT: I'm not having a problem with the site, Man-Frog. Might be Chrome itself.

I checked it in Chrome and it's all working hunky dory. Have you done a hard refresh of the cache? Usually Ctrl+F5. You're a regular reader, so I expect the site is still dragging in elements from the old-look website.
Qu I will be including "related games" eventually, but I'd have to create buttons and all that for them. At the moment, I'm focusing on pointing readers to pages that have been updated. That does mean, however, that Squish, Climber, etc. will be quite close behind the current wave of updates.

Ah, the hard refresh worked. Thanks Fry.
