Has anyone seen it yet? Just saw it and I have to say, I was NOT disappointed.
It was...incredible.
I cried at the end, I really did.

I haven't, but my sister did and she loved it. I got a bit of info out of her, but the part I was really trying to figure out she jerked me around on: What's up with that bear? All she told me was that he walked with a cane, had a Southern accent, and was supposed to smell like strawberries. That tells me nothing, I wanted to know what he was like in the sense of "Rex is neurotic, Mr. Potato Head is sarcastic, Hamm is rational."

Lotso the bear is...well let's just say he's difficult. He's sort of comparable to a Don.

This comes out here on Thursday. With any luck I will see it sometime that day, if not I will see it on the weekend. Can. Not. Wait.

I was at the UK premiere on Saturday. The movie doesn't officially get released here until July 23rd, so I can't talk to anyone about how fucking amazing it was without being yelled at.

For whatever reason they're no longer playing the (subbed) original versions in movie theaters when it comes to animated/cgi movies. Only crappily dubbed versions. So I'ma gonna have to wait for the US DVD release to show up at some point
Still waiting for that Dragon movie to get released too unnnngh

Oh yeah, TS3 came out, didn't it? I've sort of been ignoring it because I didn't care very much for TS2.
Okay, maybe that's unfair. I did like TS2 (not liking a Toy Story movie just feels wrong), but it also had to stack up against the first, which was better. I think, over time, that difference became much more exaggerated on a personal level, and also TS3 had to contend with the fact that it was "Third in the Trilogy," which is generally not a good thing. There are trilogies where the third is good but not as good as the sequel, which was in turn not as good as the first (Back to the Future, Pirates of the Caribbean), and trilogies where the third is an abominate mess (Spider-Man 3, Batman Forever (and subsequently, Batman & Robin)).
Sort of in the same way that whenever I hear Johnny Depp is on a movie I react with "ugh, Johnny Depp" and then remember that he's actually a really good actor and just gets cast in like every fourth movie and that Tim Burton has a mad hard-on for the guy.
Still, I only ever go to a movie once every six months if I can help it. I already saw Iron Man 2, and I plan to waste my second one on the disaster that will be The Last Airbender...then again, Scott Pilgrim is coming out in August, so we'll see.

See, I founds Back to the Future 2 to be awful and I thought the third one was amazing. But Toy Story 3 definitely finished off the trilogy on a high note. There are tons of references to the first movie which fans will definitely enjoy.
Also, maybe it's just me, but I don't get why people think the Scott Pilgrim movie's gonna be good. It looks like pure shit to me.

Toy Story 3 outdid all my expectations spectacularly.
And I had high expectations.
I don't generally stick around for trilogies. I'm usually lost by the second movie, if I even stay for that long. But I really thought Toy Story 3 was one of the best movies Pixar have put out so far. It made me laugh, made me cry and scared the shit out of me (is it just me, or were those villains terrifying? Particularly the monkey).
It's definitely in my top five favourite movies now.

Saw it just then. I thought it was good. Really good. Really really good. That being said, I think I preferred Up last year. Certainly, Up was more emotional than the supposed emotional ending of this (though this was heartwarming). But regardless, TS3 is a spectacular movie.
And yes, the monkey was scary.

Saw it yesterday. It was so good I couldn't stop thinking about it for the rest of the day. I think I want to see it again.

I saw the movie today. It was good, but it was a bit heavy on the drama. It was a nice way to end the Toy Story films.

There was a "Toy Story 3: The Official Movie Magazine" in the supermarket, which contained a comic strip that basically was the entire movie. Except for the fact the drawings were terrible, and they cut out the best parts (the toy in the astronaut costume scene. You should all know what I'm talking about, if you've seen the movie)

Watched it yesterday. Very very awesome end to the series. I welled up a bit at the end as well, but I also had a rush of woop at the conclusion of the action scene.
And I couldn't stop laughing at Tortilla Potatohead...

Hey, I should probably mention that in the following weeks after my last post in this thread I wound up seeing the movie three times total. It was that awesome.
