A huge update for NinDB today. I have put up all 2010 Wii release game pages, added cameos for Super Mario Galaxy 2 (and announced the other Wii cameos I added a few days ago) plus something else. I have gone through every "series" list (the ones on the left-hand side on Series Search and added in all games, cancelled games, licensed games and I have split large series up into subseries. I have also reinstated the old lists of cameos on the series page (for everything except Mario, which I am going to chop up), although most of the actual cameo entries have not been put back on the website yet. They will be. However, I need your help to make sure I'm not forgetting anything. It would be appreciated if any of you could scour those lists and make sure I haven't missed any games or cameos. If you find any, please post them here. Look out especially for any cameos after Tetris DS in 2006, as that was the last time the cameo lists were updated. The game lists also kinda fell behind around 2008.

Wow, nice job.
Anyway, here's what I noticed in terms of missing stuff:
Advance Wars: The microgame in WarioWare D.I.Y. was actually in WarioWare D.I.Y. Showcase.
Animal Crossing: Wii Music - The two Animal Crossing songs.
Art Style: You left Art Style: DIGIDRIVE off the Art Style list. Also, it’s “Art Style: Rotozoa,” not ROTOZOA. Yeah I know, an Art Style title that actually follows the normal rules of capitalization? But it’s true(!).
Brain Age Super Paper Mario has two different Brain Age references.
Mother A Kappa’s Trail - I just posted this so, yeah.
F-Zero Animal Crossing Wild World - The Blue Falcon appears as a download only piece of furniture. The Blue Falcon is also in Animal Crossing: City Folk, but only in the game’s code. Which means you can only get to it by hacking.
Fire Emblem Glory of Heracles - The Archanea reference I posted before.
Kid Icarus Glory of Heracles - The reference to Pit’s name at the beginning of the game. WarioWare D.I.Y. Showcase - Microgame
The Legend of Zelda WarioWare D.I.Y. Showcase also has its own microgame based on Zelda II (although it’s called “Zelda 2")
Magical Starsign A Kappa’s Trail - I just posted this one so, yeah.
Metroid 1080: Avalanche - One of the default high scores is a reference to Metroid Prime.
Nintendogs Animal Crossing: Wild World - That one picture that mentions Nintendogs.
Punch-Out!! The WarioWare D.I.Y. microgame is actually in WarioWare: D.I.Y. Showcase
Star Fox Animal Crossing: City Folk - Arwing from the last two games plus barrel roll joke.

As I was going mostly from memory, I ended up just kinda mushing together D.I.Y. and D.I.Y. Showcase. Much as they are in my head! So that's definitely one area that needs double-checking The Kappa's Trail and Glory of Heracles games were in my mind (you'll be glad to know), but I'm working back towards their game pages, so I kinda left them off until then. But given my track-record, I should probably add them now to be on the safe side. Thanks for the work! I'm sure there's even more in there I will also be adding or reinstating series pages. Here are the ones I've identified. Please let me know if you think I'm missing any: 100 Classic Book Series - 100 Classic Books - A little bit of DS Literature Anthology: World Books - DS Harlequin Collection Block Fever Series - Block Fever - Color TV Game: Block Breaker Computer Othello Series - Computer Othello - Computer TV Game Doshin the Giant Series - Doshin the Giant (64DD) - Doshin the Giant: Rescue From the Front by the Tinkling Tots at the Great Hall (winner of longest name ever) - Doshin the Giant (GCN) Electroplankton Series - Electroplankton - Electroplankton (DSi Ware) Famicom Lesson Series - Popeye's English Game - Donkey Kong Jr. Math - Donkey Kong's Music Game (Cancelled) Famicom Sports Series I know they have their own sports pages, but this would be a neat little collection. - Baseball - Tennis - Golf - Soccer - Volleyball - Pro Wrestling - Ice Hockey Gumshoe - Gumshoe - VS. Gumshoe Hogan's Alley Series - Hogan's Alley - VS. Hogan's Alley Hotel Dusk Series - Hotel Dusk: Room 215 - Last Window: Midnight Meeting Mach Rider Series - Mach Rider - VS. Mach Rider Master of Illusion Series - Master of Illusion - Master of Illusion Express (DSi Ware) Nester Series - Nester's Funky Bowling (I know it's just the one game, but Nester deserves an article to himself, especially given all the games he's been written in to) Number Battles Series - Number Battles - Number Battles (DSi Ware) Perfect Dark Series - Perfect Dark - Perfect Dark (GBC) - and the rest... True Swing Golf - True Swing Golf - True Swing Golf Express (DSi Ware) Urban Champion - Urban Champion - VS. Urban Champion Notes... - I will eventually be splitting the Mario series (at least) into sub-series pages of their own. Wrecking Crew, Dr. Mario and Yoshi's Cookie, for example, are all very much standalone series with their own cameos and everything. But that's to come when other things are done. - I'm wavering on whether Satellaview games should push a series count up enough to have a series list for them (e.g. Sutte Hakkun) - I'm also wavering on whether that should also be true of licensed games, because if it is then Sky Skipper would also have a series page. But then I don't yet list any Atari arcade ports... - Remove PiCTOBiTS and Tetrisphere from standalone games.

Fry updated more today and two days ago- including major games like Punchout!! Wii and New Super Mario Bros. Wii.
One thing I thought deserved mention is that in the DK cameo in Punchout, it mentions that he's called the King of Swing. That should really link to the page for King of Swing...

I wavered on that. You think it's worth it?

Personally, I thought it was a nod towards that sub-series, but you can argue it either way. So, I'd go for it.

No, I haven't missed them, I haven't put all the other cameos online yet. I have tried to make clear that I have so far put Wii and NES online only, and the rest are forthcoming. If you looked at any of the Arcade, GB, SNES, N64, Gamecube, GBA or DS games you'd see none of them have cameos... I find it a little odd you singled out that one game

One pair of hands...
I am, in fact, working on getting the Smash cameos online. That's a huge project, but one I'm currently working my way through. Right now, as a matter of fact.
X-Scape has only just been given a game page (which was a side-effect of a sitewide cleanup of code, rather than an effort to get new DS pages online). I also need to do some updates to the Totaka's Song page first, as the format has gone squiffy... That's one of those quick jobs I'll do to take my mind off the mountain of SSB cameos and DS games.
But like I say, one pair of hands and loads to put online. Old stuff and new stuff. It's getting done, but it's getting done in chunks.

Question:
Are the Smash cameos going to be presented in that Smash Bros. guide you planned some time ago?

For those who don't know, a couple years ago I planned on creating a whole new design for the Smash guide, essentially making it a separate website.
The answer is no. Because a lot of the work I did on the Smash guide has actually fed back into the current site design anyway, so it should all just piece together nicely... fingers crossed.
